Well spotted. I just did that a glance and miscounted the letters. I do that too often. Will need to rethink the parsing. Still think that’s the word though.

And believe 16D might be

Well that's pretty uncouth. So nothing to do with Perrier water, then? I thought the ING/Perrier anagram was promising, but one too many r's, anyway.

I remember a crossword from way back when half the clues were bodily functions! I have tried to find it but it's buried deep in my back-up files.
