60s Music
I used to listen to an oldies station a lot growing up, love 'jangly' 60s rock and it's more modern offspring, so to speak. Not until I dug into bands' complete collections did I discover this gem by The Hollies.
I also noticed as I got older our oldies stations are pretty crap for sticking only with a certain band's most well-known songs, which seems so stupid given the range of possibilities and the likely attitudes of listeners. I think I've had my thoughts proven listening to such a station where I live now. A 'legendary' DJ runs a four hour show on weekends that has much more variety. While I imagine he deliberately chooses them for this reason or the format of the show encourages it, his call-in listeners always request the most random songs and it makes for much better listening (esp. as he, like old DJs, drops a bit of info about the song/band/etc.)
