Best English tournament performance I can remember. Seemed comfortable for most of it. Genuinely staggered. Thank Christ for working from home...
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
Fortunately due to the 5 day self isolation requirement the travelling scum wont be able to go to the quarter final in Italy.

They do it better on PR.
Chris Jack, 67 test All Black - "I was voted most useless and laziest cunt in the English Premiership two years on the trot"
I don't think he is fit. Problem is that the games come thick and fast so there is no time really to give him a week off.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 5:57 pm Pretty comfortable win that. Sterling backed up a very good performance against the Czechs with a fantastic one here. Saka really good. Midfield bullied the Germans.
If Harry Kane wasn't so off the pace that could've been a real statement win. Yeah I know he scored but pretty much any player in the squad would've scored that - he was lazy and sluggish all game, and even at the end when all it would take was some effort and pressing to ensure the win he couldn't be bothered. Somethings very wrong with him and he's a total lead weight.
Like you I thought England were pretty comfortable, bar that Muller chance, against a relatively poor German side. The draw has really opened up and there is no reason really why they shouldn't make the final. Once you are there, anything can happen.
If I were an England fan Kane being off the boil and the defence not really being tested would be my only concerns. But it is all looking pretty positive.

Middle class handwringing over the England team is always amusing.
Saturday night has real 'pubs run dry' potential.

No red card for the England tackle in the first half?

Can't wait for Germany to destroy England
Some pretty disgraceful comments on twitter about that picture. I know every country has utterly moronic cunts but it is dissappointing.
The other thing I find slightly maddening about football is anytime someone doesn't behave like a rabid animal it is Karse... Jurgen Klinsman was absolute class last night because of how he behaved after the loss. Or could it just be mature adult reacts with grace to a well deserved England win??
Klinnsman's always been incredibly nice, to be honest.
From memory that girl was shown a little bit before just looking a little confused. Have to feel sorry for her, and I hate how sport can make people act. Just as well no-one was photographing me when the Lions 2017 touring squad was announced

I'm sure some people have disgraced themselves as ever.
But not sorry for having a chuckle and cheering when I saw it on the TV, everyone else would do exactly the same if she was English. That's sport and it's objectively funny, the beauty of sport is it can easily be one of our fans in Rome on Saturday.

Quite, who cannot laugh at an adult crying at the result but a child? they will be feeling all sorts of emotions that she doesn't understand probably mainly that her father is not at all happy and she is confused.

It's funny because we've all been there. Not going to accept pearl clutching here, as I say it could easily be us Saturday. That's life.

To be fair she was probably just sick of the band and 40,000 English fans hurling abuse at anyone who had a German top on. Dad - they’re all so angry and I’m frightened. Etc etc.
In fairness to whoever the commentator was he said we don’t need to see that.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:47 amNope, it's not "life", what kind of cunt takes pleasure in seeing a child in distress?Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:32 am It's funny because we've all been there. Yawn.
Anyway, all a distraction from what was a very good performance, one slice of luck with Muller's miss notwithstanding. Excellent Round of 16 all told and now very open.

Was that the one on top of his foot/ankle? Collins? Can’t view them side by side but it didn’t look very different from the one that the Welsh lad got sent off for against Italy.
It really is quite amusing, it’s kids tripping up or getting knocked over by dogs ffs it’s not a snuff movie…SaintK wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 11:39 amReally!!!
