Perth... well, Fremantle local Lucy Peach. One of the more gorgeous voices going around.
If you don't know Canadian artist K-Os, really worth a look ... skillfully blends and jumps styles, so while he does a lot of rapping, the music can be rock, reggae, more hip hop, R&B, whatever. He's been off for many years, but just released this funk-/disco-ish tune.
While "Crabbuckit" was the biggest hit, and is way-over played given what he's done ... I'd highly recommend The Man I Used to Be, Born to Run, and Sunday Morning if you want a better sense of his talent.

He probably gets lumped into the 'hip hop' genre because his earlier stuff is more that, but K-Os is an artist whose body of work is broader (lots of real instruments and singing instead of rapping, or mixing both). Anyhoo, this is a great cover where he does a bit of both but, I think, stays faithful to the original!
I like it a lot!Niegs wrote: Fri Mar 12, 2021 8:14 pm He probably gets lumped into the 'hip hop' genre because his earlier stuff is more that, but K-Os is an artist whose body of work is broader (lots of real instruments and singing instead of rapping, or mixing both).
