Will be great to see if WP young guns can play on the next level.
Yellow Card for Simelane. Repeated infringements while Bulls were camping in the SA A line. Same as against the Lions with Marco van Staden. Lads need to watch their discipline in the red zone.
JLdP looks to have done a knee. Hope it’s not too serious. Staying on, but think he’ll be going off soon.

Damien De Allende looking good out there. Best Bok on the park. Taking his matchup against Cornal Hendricks very personally.
Marco van Staden also looking good.
No other Bok players really making a positive impression 23mins in.
Tank on for Coenie who has looked terrible out there.

Bulls putting SA A backline on the ropes. Finding lots of space out wide, but unable to capitalise due to poor passing.
Doesn’t look as if Simelane, Penxe and Specman have adapted to the defensive structure yet. Lots of incorrect defensive reads. The lack of cover defense also apparent. Just shows how valuable Faf, PSdT and Mostert are to making the defensive structure work.

Agreed. Bulls unable to play enough phases to really hurt the SA A team, but exposed them a couple of times.
Penxe really struggling with the defensive structure. Similar to Diyanti in the first games against England in 2018, he is biting in too early and getting seduced by an apparent interception opportunity, but his job isn’t to intercept…it’s to nail the ball carrier and stop the movement.
SA A leading 14-0 at the half.

Goosen looks a lot better than Elton.
Not many of these SA A guys putting their hands up for inclusion in the test team.
They are lucky that the Bulls passing has been very wayward for most of the game.

On this showing Goosen would be my choice behind Pollard.
Bulls passes are starting to find their targets.
So bek kort jam

The SA A forwards in general did not look very good against a pretty young Bulls pack. Thats a bit of a worry seeing that our set pieces did not look that hot against the lions on wednesday either

Bulls showing yet again how pathetically fragile their mentality is. No way that team should have lost to Benetton.
Goosen should be a Bok legend by now. Light years ahead of Jantjies.
Good hit out for DDA. Fassie and Reinach were good enough. Biggest disappointment was that no loosies put their hands up. The rest is immaterial - though Wilco would go straight into the 23 for me. Clearly better than Trevor, Koch and Coenie.

Worried about our depth at lock and fly half.
Neither of Morne Steyn or Elton Jantjies seem to be close to Pollard’s level. Goosen played well today but it’s a one-off. Hope he can keep it up.
After Etzebeth and Mostert, we are also light without Snyman and De Jager. None of parachuted guys seem to have the same intensity and work rate. Between the lot of them NJVR is probably in the lead, but had a terrible second half against the Bulls. JLdP and Elstadt offered little. Orie was okay against Georgia.

Heard a lot about Jasper Wiese. Not impress with him and Kwagga.
Rassie should call Goosen up and start him on the bench. Covers 10, 12, 13 and 15. And kicks at goal.Blake wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 12:56 pm Worried about our depth at lock and fly half.

Kwagga has always been a bit meh.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 1:17 pm Heard a lot about Jasper Wiese. Not impress with him and Kwagga.
Wiese has been ok, but not anything special.
Evan Roodt would have been a better fit
Maybe let’s see how Roos goes against the Lions later today before we start hyping him up as well.Chilli wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 1:42 pmKwagga has always been a bit meh.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 1:17 pm Heard a lot about Jasper Wiese. Not impress with him and Kwagga.

Kid looks the goods, but hasn’t really been tested yet.
