Possible. Although I would assume that Cobus Reinach is the backup 9.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:18 pm Possible Springbok team: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Cheslin Kolbe, 13 Lukhanyo Am, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Sibusiso Nkosi, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Francois de Klerk, 8 Jasper Wiese, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Marco van Staden, 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Steven Kitshoff.

I’d be relatively happy with that, except I’d swop out Coenie for Wilco Louw.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:18 pm Possible Springbok team: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Cheslin Kolbe, 13 Lukhanyo Am, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Sibusiso Nkosi, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Francois de Klerk, 8 Jasper Wiese, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Marco van Staden, 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Steven Kitshoff.

Would also be massive if Nienaber springs the return of Duane Vermeulen as captain on us. That would be amazing. Wiese te the bench if that happens.

Reinach is fit, think he is our No 2 scrummie atm, Herschel has been searching his form lately.
Tomas du Toit or Wilco Louw for Coenie.
Duane, Kolisi and RG are out for the first test i guess, but will hopefully be fit for the 2nd. Apparently Lood might come in on short notice on saturday.

According to Keo
The Springboks were originally scheduled to announce their team on Wednesday afternoon, but have brought it forward to Tuesday at 1:30pm, meaning that they must have some sort of clarity over whether Kolisi can play.

Elstadt
We’re selling ourselves massively short in the front row.

Nyakane struggles against strong looseheads. That starting front row won't last 50 minutes. Disappointed not to see Wiese or J L du Preez there. The scrum has been our main advantage for a while now. No way that front row gets scrum dominance for 50 minutes.Big Nipper wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:50 am Good team that

What's going on with that backrow? Thought Kwagga was a flanker?

Amazed at the following selections
1. Smith instead of Wiese , Wiese is the natural successor to Vermeulen
2. Nyakane instead of Malherbe, Malherbe is the worlds best THP
3. Niche instead of Kitshoff, Kitshoff is the worlds best LHP
4. Elton instead of Morne Steyn. Elton is a choker

Very good question. They're clearly going to play to the ball as opposed to carry it from the base.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:58 am What's going on with that backrow? Thought Kwagga was a flanker?
Rassie has my full respect, so I will wait to see how this test pans out, but I'm worried about the form of Mapimpi, Kolisi, Nyakane and de Jager and the talent of Kwagga, Ox, Elstadt and Willemse. That's quite a few question marks.
Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
I suspect Wiese is still injured but then I would play Dan or JLDP and they've all been released from the squad.ia801310 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 12:01 pm Amazed at the following selections

Fully agree with 1, 2 and 3 and partially with 4, among other selection issues as well.ia801310 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 12:01 pm Amazed at the following selections

I dont really get that team. We are playing thomas du toit, Cobus, Morne, Jasper, Marco throughout the Preparation, yet they dont even feature in the bench. Instead we persist with Trevor, who has been shit in his apperances and with useless Elstadt. Lood is on the bench, who should be rather starting and empty his tank before being replaced. Our starting props will fold, just like against Georgia. Elton as an impact player? Kicking the last Penaltys?
Yeah. I'm not happy. Why send Dan & JLDP home?boere wors wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 12:07 pm I dont really get that team.
