Are you? When is the last time you actually played a match in that competition and why have SARU been lobbying so hard to join the European competition?
The Springboks vs British & Irish Lions 2nd Test Thread
Yeah, appreciate it's not everyone and that was a slightly emotional response, but I genuinely think it is hugely damaging for our game and it seems SA Rugby are in on it. It's really depressing.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 2:26 pmIt's one coach - not every coach. Rassie has always been obsessed with video replays and analysis. Goes back to his playing days. He bored the WP and Munster players rigid with his endless team meetings in the old days.
Unfortunately he's figured out social media and now can't resist sharing all his shite with everyone else.

Not sure you can. I had the same problem the other week.
5pm is an absolute prick of a time for a game of rugby with kids. Give me 3pm or 8pm any day.
Damn. I really don't want to have to watch the rubbish highlights again!Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:01 pmNot sure you can. I had the same problem the other week.

Nope. You just have to start early with the groundwork with the Mrs, then you can put your feet up and watch it. I usually plan in a full day of DIY and general niceties to grease the gears.charltom wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:12 pmDamn. A friend suggests that finding complete downloads of the game a day or so later is a decent solution.charltom wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:12 pmDamn. The Mrs. will be visiting her ill grandmother, so that doesn't work. I get the kids to myself. It's tempting to make it an event for the three of us, but the three year old would tell on me!Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:15 pmNope. Sounds interesting. Where would your friend suggest I find such a download without also learning the result?Dinsdale Piranha wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:19 pmA friend suggests that finding complete downloads of the game a day or so later is a decent solution.charltom wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:12 pmDamn. Ah well, good luck. It's a big game. Probably worth any heat that comes your way as long as the kids are amused.
I am in the same boat.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:27 pmAh well, good luck. It's a big game. Probably worth any heat that comes your way as long as the kids are amused.
My strategy is an early dinner followed the first half then getting the 2 year old into bed over half time. My six year old daughter can be bribed or distracted long enough for me to get the rest of the game in.

On the plus side 5pm is early enough to allow 2 hours to watch the game and another 2 hours to go through picking out all the penalties against the Boks the ref missed
Look im happy with the way the ref prostrates himself in front of AWJ but perhaps this time just a little bow when Kolisi asks a question.SaintK wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 4:09 pmDon't forgot to check if the ref shows the Boks captain plenty of respect as well.
That would seem appropriate.
Got exactly the same issue and with NOW.charltom wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:19 pmThe Mrs. will be visiting her ill grandmother, so that doesn't work. I get the kids to myself. I'm going for pizza at half time and then they can do what they want. Wife can deal with it the next day for doing this to me.

The pitch is next on my hit list. Will probably move onto Faf's hair after that.
and I agree

Unfortunately any time tomorrow, except maybe morning, would have been awkward for me. Maybe I'll have signal on my phone and can find a site to stream it on. Maybe not. Won't get to see the whole thing though.
Next weeks I may just be at home in time depending on how often the ferries run. Should at least catch the 2nd half without issue though.

A Spanish friend suggests googling "VOD eventos completos" produces good results ... for rugby and soccer at leastDinsdale Piranha wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:19 pmA friend suggests that finding complete downloads of the game a day or so later is a decent solution.charltom wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:12 pmDamn. It’s bloody annoying TBH. I paid for Sky Sports for years whilst hardly ever using it. I finally cancelled it, and wouldn’t you know it, suddenly there’s stuff I want to watch. Now I’ve realised I’m on duty at work next week and will miss the whole bloody thing. Where does one source a download of the game?Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:01 pmNot sure you can. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
If you have a laptop/pc download the NOW TV app, then download NVIDIA shadowplay, run the NOW tv app, get the game running and then press ALT Z and it will record whatever is on your screen, you can then watch it later.

God that would make the game horrendous to watch.assfly wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 12:30 pmDepends on your point of view. Perhaps this can be a watershed moment in the game. Look at the technology they use in cricket nowadays, surely something similar can be trialed to deal with things like forward passes, chasers in front of kickers, offside line.

She’s absolutely lovely. Why she’s marrying my baldy mate is a mystery.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
