Yep; happy to admit I was wrong about both of them. They shut me right up and I don’t mind one bit.

Actually, I think they were cynically smart. They clearly decided that 3 was always going to be better than 5/7 and it was only when it reached precipice point the tactic could not work. It's why the yellow card is there but was never deployed. They played Carney brilliantly considering they were mullered at the breakdown.
Christ you are such a bitter obsessive fucker.

Great match to watch as a neutral. I say neutral but wanted NZ to win, then switched to SA when they started throwing it about (so that’s everyone in the world except the SA coaches who were correct) then back to NZ as the SA victimhood took control before half time (hope the water boy gets a couple of years ban, the twat), then back to SA at the start of the 2nd half as they came out positive again.

Thought the ref was brilliant for 3/4 of that match then a series of howlers in the last 20.

NZ get away with so many cynical “fouls”

Well done SA, pease keep playing positively

How good was Frans Steyn. He had a massive impact with his boot, gained us crucial meters and momentum when it counted. We would never have won without him today. MOTM cameo!

Some of the gifts the ref came up with:
All Blacks try from the lineout, looked like a knock from Moody not 100% sure as there was no replay of it. 5 points to the ABs.
Frans makes a kick down the middle of the field, looked like he went for a drop and changed his mind, he then runs 60 metres to tackle/charge down the catcher, he pulls out of it after Barrett makes the kick, he couldn't avoid it more than he did he made one stride after the kick. Ref "you were in no position to charge down, late tackle" (he was literally in a position to stop the kick and made no tackle), penalty where the kick was made. 3 points to the ABs.
Frans tackles McKenzie, wins the ball in the tackle so it's McKenzie not rolling away penalty to the Boks. Ref says Frans didn't roll. 3 points to the ABs.

Carley isn't afraid of making massive calls. Well done to Carley for making another massive call at the end, other refs (Angus Gardner) would've chickened out. I was resigned to defeat by the end, could see the players were getting frustrated, I didn't even react to the win.

Used to drive me mad about England when they would get turned over at rucks and our props were standing and waiting and looking on not 5m away……and then doing it again.

But well done SA. All the intensity and not kicking everything away. Really well balanced tactics.

Decided to risk spending £10 on a Now TV pass for this game and it was more than worth it. Nothing better than watching a quality test match whens its pssing down outside and your hungover.

ABs with the typical moments of brilliance and SA best they have being for ages with a varied menu of running and kicking.

Hard luck Kiwi Boets! It's really great to have you in a rebuilding phase. The McCaw years ground me down as a Bok supporter. That match reminded me of one of the Hagler/Duran/Hearns/Leonard fights. Ding! Its a war! Rocky music follows.

So happy for our skipper Siyamthanda Kolisi who has endured lots of carping and criticism (some of it justified) for his performances as a player. The turnaround in his game has just been incredible.

Lukhanyo Am's pass was amazing. He has played a part in almost all our backline tries since the world cup.

This match really was all about self belief. We could have imploded under pressure like Corne Krige did or when we lost against Japan. The big boys really stood up and were counted today. Eben Etzebeth had some freakish moments.

I was really thrilled to see an all african black front row do so well in a match like this. I hated Trevor Nyakane for a couple of seasons but he really seems to have put in the hard yards on the conditioning front. Bongi Mbonambi's bust up the middle and almost try was epic.

The way we won this match was probably more important than the victory itself.

Also after watching the highlights I noticed that Rieko gives DDA a little pat on the back after he scored his try. I've always been a little irritated by Rieko and his occasional NFL style trash talking. That little gesture was old-school sportsmanship.

Amazing game. We were beaten in the tight, beaten in the loose and beaten in the backs - and yet we held on till the last minute.

Congrats Boks - too good in this one.

Boks put away the delaying tactics, got some momentum and put us away. Let that be a lesson

All blacks just about got out of jail but we're absolutely beaten up in that second 40.

Scott Barrett again dumb penalties, but looking at the score now and realizing how many point pollard missed, boks could have bee out of sight.

Our tight forwards need a revamp, but the props are the best we have, and apart from. Whitelock would like to see Parkinson at lock.

From mid-2H, the ABs just basically stopped competing at the ruck. Fucking disgraceful shower of shit.
But why did they? Were they exhausted? Even the subs that came on? Surely a coaching issue... they didn't learn from last week.. still went wide before establishing any sort of platform up front. And then got destroyed at the breakdown... I hope Foster is spitting tacks... if not, we're in trouble for the long haul...

Think I posted this in the other forum, but that is the 5th test where our second halves have been terrible. Most of those we got away with because we were so far ahead already.

I can't believe it's a fitness issue.. so it must be a "staying focussed" issue...

It has to be coaching, in which case Foster is the biggest and most useless piece of crap ever to coach the ABs (after Vodanovich in 1970)

The consensus is our issues are up front, so I think forwards coach Plumtree and set piece coach Moar also need to shoulder a lot of the blame. Plumtree talks about the need for physicality and is fond of saying, "we know what to expect" before every test, but I'm starting to think he's just talking out his arse.
