That's if you only engage with that kind of South African. There are over 50 million of us speaking 11 different languages with a multitude of colours, religions and world views. To have the old no sense of humour, thick white Boer trope brought up again and again gets a bit tired.

50 million to pick from and yet you still manage to find the stereotype and make him the head of South African rugby. Good work.

Agreed. Like making a video longer than an hour criticising a referee and only highlighting perceived errors the referee made that went against your own team.
Not if the intention of the video was to highlight decisions and behaviour that you felt disadvantaged your team.
I think it was Sauce who pointed out to the troll that it was Gatlands job to complain about the ref from the Lions point of view.

Why not? He is being accused of something that he clearly believes he is not guilty of. He wants an open and transparent process. What is wrong with that?

I was at Varsity with Rassie. My personal opinion of him is not that great.
Here I stand with him. If he believes that he is innocent then he must be able to have a free and fair trial.
Are you able to say why your personal opinion of Rassie from varsity days was not great?
In my personal experience he is not that trustworthy and is a rumor monger.

However he has done extremely well as a coach. The players seem to trust him.
Thanks for sharing. I must admit that up until that video and having recently watched Chasing the Sun... I really liked Rassie. So felt disappointing.

What would your feelings towards him be if he is exonerated by World Rugby and indeed the video was only meant for them. And that someone else leaked it?

Shock. Because when I watched the video he implied during the video that he was going to get into trouble. That keeping quiet in public didn't work before. His whole demeanour was that it would be seen by everyone.

And why did he not straight away come out at the time and apologise for it being leaked if it was not deliberate? It came across as a calculated ploy before the next Lions test....

You should take what Chilli say with a bit of salt. Chilli was a chubby little cook boy who took home economics and Rassie was one of the cool kids. There will always be a bit of animosity.

Rassie is my Hero, I have a little altar built for him in my man cave, complete with bobble head effigy and miniature trophy cabinet. Every night before I go to bed I light scented candles and worship him. I thank him for giving us our daily cups and forgetting our shortcomings, for humiliating our foes and placing us in the number one spot. I think all Saffas should adopt this new religion.

Ja look, I have to admit I find it strange because I never needed to go to such extreme measures to get noticed by the fairer sex. My manly demeanour, strapping good looks and incredible muscular bod ensured that I received more than enough attention.

Ha ha. Soon he will be on the Twickenham roof with his coloured paddles signalling the players. Just like he did with the Cheetahs back in 2006. The Ruperts and Tristans will have a coronary.

Hmmm the plot thickens.

World Rugby agrees with 23 of the 26 points made by Rassie and the video was leaked by dastardly Ozzies. :problem:

These claims were made by a South African Sunday newspaper known to have close links to Erasmus, SA Rugby’s Director.

While there is no proof, it is suspected that the video was uploaded on social media from Australia. As things stand, World Rugby has to prove that Erasmus deliberately leaked the video if they are to make the charges against him stick.

It is increasingly looking like Erasmus’s hearing is going to fizzle out into a non-event and, at most, he is in for a slap on the wrist and possibly a fine.
It would be hilarious if that was the outcome

Of course he was correct in many of the examples he highlighted. That's not really the issue though. Any coach could make a similar video after a game and leak it.

But thankfully they dont
