Fair yellow for the penalties.

12-6 in this rain..SA should feel uncomfortable here.

Boks are their own worst enemies out there.

Clearly stepped across to block that off. Can’t be too many arguments aside from Rassie’s YouTube channel about that.

WTF?

Are you expected to evaporate if somebody kicks the ball behind you?

Boks really struggling to adapt to the referee at the breakdowns. If we can just reduce the penalties and get Jantjies off the field, we might be able to claw it back.

The Boks really do run terrible support lines. Kwagga completely overran Jantjies there. If he had been a pass option that would have been a real opportunity.

14 vs 14...Wales don't have an answer for the Bok maul.

Only 1 scrum so far in the match.

In hindsight yes, but we have them over a barrel with our mauls and it netted us a yellow card.

If we had gotten a try from a maul we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Agree but as said in previous post the Welsh players are obstructing the SA maul by going to ground quickly.

Nah, ref is right. Eben's lifters are carrying him across the line onto the Welsh side of the lineout.

It's clever if the ref doesn't notice, but he did.

This is where we need a good tactical out of hand kicker at 10. Jantjies should not be a designated kicker unless under real pressure. His box kicking has been inaccurate and he doesn't get Faf's hang time. I'd be running Duane, Damien and Kwagga at their midfield all day. More chance of a hole appearing there. Like an NFL running back route. Kicks can come after the ensuing breakdown when the defence is not set and scrambling.

Boks sloppy at the start of the second half.

But at least we get a scrum now and against 7 men. Bonus.

Even though nothing came if it, I'm glad the Boks are finally playing a bit off the scrum penalty advantage.
For the longest time the penalty at scrumtime has been such a foregone conclusion that we just stopped playing when we got it.

Can't wait for H Jantjies and Pollard to get subbed for Reinach and E Jantjies.

Unfortunately due to the Willemse injury, Nienanber will probably keep a sub in his pocket until the very end.

It's so frustrating. De Allende has barely had the ball and made a brilliant break when he did, but Jantjies and Pollard just don't let the ball get to him.

I really should get my DNA checked. I think I may have some Fijian or French in there. Such is my craving to see some flair or enterprise in our backline.
