Garbage ball by Milne. Why try that 1st ball up in the over?

Think that Malan & Ali partnership has evened things up.
Worried about how high this total will go - Livingston and Ali both big hitters.

FM. This is hurting NZ! Just bowls right into Livingstone's strength. Poor.

Lockie has been such a huge loss for NZ. Milne just isn't able to get the same kind of accuracy on yorkers and slow balls.
Oh lord....Neesham to bowl the last over?!?!?!
Hides behind hands.

Heavily coaching group work in the training I'm running with the aim of getting to the pub for the second innings

Good total, makes it anyone's game here.

Well the Neesham over went better than I thought it would.
167 to win.
Southee bowled well....and perhaps I was a little harsh on Milne considering he had a better economy rate than Boult and Sodhi.
Going to be a feckin' hard chase with the English bowling though.

I know it is cliche'd - but 2 of the top four need to bat big. If we are a couple down in the first few overs then we are done. I don't think our middle order and tail can get us home.

Has to be a bit of Death or Glory somewhere in the opening overs or we won't get there.
Made 99 off the final 10, but because it didn't come with a flurry of sixes it didn't seem like it. I think England messed up earlier on, Bairstow was not comfortable. People seem to be giving Malan some grief but his strike rate was almost identical to Moeen's and better than the openers by some way - him getting out when he did might have cost us a bunch of runs. Moeen at the time was scratching around so I'm not surprised it happened. Still, it's not an awful total.Thor Sedan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 3:49 pmI am surprised that they didn't kick on in the last half of their innings considering the wickets in hand. Pitch a bit difficult?

It's been 3 or 4 minutes, but not a mention yet ... is everyone pretending it didn't happen?

This one's in the record books.
Time to go to sleep now and dream of a BC victory.

Ah well.....England will provide a better final as a spectacle than NZ will.
Shame that we appear to be spinning away meekly.
A bit disappointed.

Love how you optimistically nominated a three-figure total
... but then again Mitchell is still there.

I think it all comes down to whether the kiwi-Saffa (Conway) can out perform the Eng-Saffa (Malan 41 from 30)
