England did well not to give in to SA deliberately cheap shotting in the last 10.

Really enjoyed that game - so nice to see England being ambitious with the ball - and keeping going despite being overpowered in the 2nd half. Great team effort.

Pollard’s two missed pens and Kolisi not putting Kriel away for an easy 7, should have seen the Boks 7 clear on 60 mins. Then the forward squeeze would have been irresistible.

Supreme in the air (despite 2 spills in the second half) which completely defused the Boks' main attacking weapon.

Boks unable to make their massive advantage up front count due to their shit backline.
Aye, they might not all have been under heavy pressure but lots of good takes where you might have expected a fumble or four from the likes of le Roux is similar position.

And Smith definitely adds a lot more than a predictable Ford or Farrell option that hurt the Boks high centre defence.
At some point coach Mzwandile Stick is going to have to get the boot for his toothless backline.

The backs lost us this match.

Pollard left 6 points on the field.
Kriel overran 'n simple ball.
Backs defended too narrow in the first 30 mins
DDA-Am carved open for the 3rd try.
Le Roux with another shocker; catching a high ball is a fundamental fullback skill.

They didn’t knee anyone in the face or start massive scraps for the purpose of reversing a pen though. Shame as it was otherwise a superb game

That was awful to watch. I can put up with vokken kak rugby when we're winning comfortably, but we look so limited in attack. Defence was bad today too.

South Africa should win that easily. That backline might be very large but is lacking skill. That england midfield is pretty small. Failing to exploit the forwards advantage is impressive. I refuse to believe south Africa don't have more skillful backs. What sort of morons kick away the ball to a reliable fullback when you are getting over the game line so consistently.

Well played by England to take advantage when they did get the ball.

What a gutsy win! Can't complain about that. Well done Poms! Freddie was supreme under the high ball. He's a keeper for sure

Can’t wait for France v NZ now. Is there a tier 2 international on before it?

Congrat to Eng, in the end and under the cosh, they called an attacking first phase move off the back of the lineout to cut the game open and wrest the momentum away from the boks. brilliantly decisive in thinking and excecution.

The boks did well to dominate up front to get back in the game and even forge ahead, but in the end we've been our own worst enemies in not converting that forward dominance into more points.

England defying awesome SA muscle play. Nice.

And a young-ish England team at that. Smith and Quirke looked composed. Very encouraging.

I think Brace was evenly kak throughout the game. Can the paddies produce a good referee to replace him as the Irish quota?

Cmon, that's hardly fair, Wales could've won the WC in 2007 had they not lost 3 times.

Everything I feared came true in that game, and we still won, so that's good. Interesting that after a disciplined display with a remarkably low penalty count, the Saffers reverted to type with the filth and it cost them the match, along with their refusal to chance their arm when they had physical dominance.

Great get out of jail win against the world champions for a very thrown together England side. Happy with that.

Yup. Despite mashing all your opponents up front in these AIs, you've never managed to make it count on the board? Bad, negative tactics or inept backline, I cannot tell.
