With DMac going to Suntory next season, anyone tell me what NZRFU's selection policy is on players based overseas?

How many contender ABs will be in Japan next year (or anywhere that is not NZ)?

It's viewed as the "safe" way for ABs to earn some extra cash without being too far away or too overworked.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 2:55 pmI guess but the risk is that you fall out of reckoning unless you are indispensable?

Willie, Mapimpi, Kriel, Kwagga, PSdT, Mostert, Marx play in Japan.
Thought NZ allow their players to play there?

I wonder if the USA will ever become a similar destination. There is a mini-flood of Saffers heading for the USA at the moment. No big names but some significant up and comers.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 6:33 pmIt's viewed as the "safe" way for ABs to earn some extra cash without being too far away or too overworked.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 2:55 pmI guess but the risk is that you fall out of reckoning unless you are indispensable?
