Each to their own and all that but, yea, na.Glibtor wrote: Fri Aug 06, 2021 1:51 pmASMO wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 4:57 pm
Simply amazing cover, even the original band themselves gave it a standing ovation
Better than the original imho.
Ann Wilson has one of the best voices in rock - ever. She could sing the yellow pages and I'll be mesmerized by her voice.
Though I will post a cover that is at least equal to the original...

I thought this was their best effort, better than the original for me, captured the essence of the song and some, it builds wonderfully,

Stairway cover didn't do anything for me either, but each to their own.

OK - so apart from the fact that some dislike pop punk as much as the song Wonderwall.....can we just be appreciative of the fact that this guy is playing drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar and singing - as well as producing and mixing all his covers. I mean - the guy has got some serious talent. And I kinda like his sound. He smashes some of the covers - check him out.

Terrible......absolutely terrible video. But an absolute stonker of a cover.
I'm not sure where I stand on this, I rarely find Tom Waits covers to be anything other than a product of someone being a fan, Johnny Cash being an exception.
On second thoughts, this is playing again as I type this and I've decided I like it

Not even Sir Roderick's version of this classic?

I've long been a fan, I managed to see her live pre lockdowns etc and she is the best guitarist I've ever seen live, or one of.

She's superb. Think I actually posted one of her covers earlier on the thread.

Thanks, really enjoyed thisThor Sedan wrote: Tue Aug 03, 2021 8:42 am Just for the lovely harmonies and the fact you can hear how every instrument adds to the melody - and a double bass solo.
