oh god yes, I'd rather have him than Hogg at 10! I just think Hastings is so far ahead as a 10, and can cover 12 and 15, that you have to have him in the squad. I wouldn't like to go into a game with Kinghorn as our back up 10.

I imagine there probably wasn't much pressure/incentive for Kinghorn to work on his place kicking when Jaco, who is a very reliable goal kicker, was the regular 10, so it's a reasonable expectation that it will improve if it's become one of his core responsibilities and an area to work on. He's obviously not at international standard now.

I wonder what Ross Thompson's kicking stats are like this season? He seems to have been missing a few when I've tuned in to Glasgow games.

He can also get a further week off if he completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Course (WTAF?) so could play in Worcester's game on the 29th - reckon that'd be good as he's been short of game time.

I agree on the Home office and the Home Sec, but it's nothing new - Joanna Lumley was perhaps the most high profile campaigner for the rights of Gurkhas to stay in the UK after retiring from military service.
