Both the maul and Priso being stopped from scoring by a blatant offside could have been pen tries. He's bottled it.

LaR will continue to underperform unless they get a half decent half-back pairing.

And that's why Galthie does not select Bourgarit.

Good reach from Rhule. Really should have scored earlier, though. Kerr-Barlow just had to give the ball before he got tackled on the break.

NZ has a conveyor of quality SHs and FHs so you figure LaR had to work real hard to recruit the 2 sh*t ones.

At least West has only made it as far as the bench for this game.

Yes. That's me.

Raynal and his aides were excellent in what was a hugely entertaining match. The fact that the Scarlets surrendered in the 2nd half really had nothing to do with officiating.

What bitching? I thought he was poor, just like most of the officials. But I'm not going all Aki on him.

No one has made that assertion. The Scarlets do what they always do capitulate.
I feel he was poor, made some terrible calls and missed quite a lot.

He was hardly an Adamson or Whitehouse. Like what did he actually get wrong that had any material impact on the game?

Impact on the game? That is irrelevant.
I don't think the pen try was valid, there was no grounding of another Brizzle try for me.
The number of forward passes missed was ridiculous and he lacked empathy for the game and players.

The Scarlets were obviously gash.

Hey thats just my opinion, feel free to defend him.

Botica dropping the ball when he was about to score under the posts for a definite 7 points and the missed kicks to goal had a material impact on the game last night

Feel like, as a former 9, Dickson's being fairly generous about the amount of time Price is getting at the back of the ruck.

Needed to get that after the amount of 22 pressure they've exerted this half.

The pen try was perfectly justifiable. Look at the freeze frame Raynal called for: at the moment of the slap, there are 2 Briz players outside the ruck and no Scarlet defenders for a moment.

Which Briz try?

Lack of empathy for the game? Seriously? He allowed 2 free flowing sides go hammer and tongs which provided us with a great spectacle.

Enjoyable game to watch. Definitely never a dull moment watching Ulster play these days. I said after last week that our defence is not good enough yet to be at the big boy's table in Europe, I think tonight is another example that you can only out-attack a shite defence for only so long. We need a big improvement in that area in the knockouts.
We're missing a shedload of players and that is having an impact on the 23. With some more players back (Henderson and one if Reidy or Murphy in particular) you all of a sudden have so much more quality on the pitch for 80mins.

Similarly we started with our 3rd choice 12 and ended up with an Academy wing in the centre.

Yes we could get rolled by a big team but equally we can score from just about anywhere and make a fight of the game.
Any word on why McCann hasn't been involved for the last while? Injured or dropped?
Ian Madigan for Ireland.

Exeter were in pretty bad form around then, they've come on leaps and bounds since.

Glasgow are struggling for consistency in their form, they pretty much battered Exeter that night and were leading at the 50 minute mark last week before it all turned runny very quickly

Presumably Sheedy's try where he rolled over the line with the ball. You'd have to be very one eyed to claim that as not grounded, and I suspect c69 is just having a little joke at everyone else's expense.

Not sure West is what La Rochelle need right now, but the game should be relatively safe with only 16 minutes left.

Boudehent's made some good defensive interventions in difficult looking positions.

Nichol's desperation is pitiful to hear sometimes. "They've still got time" - 19 point defecit and 10 minutes left to play.
