Hopefully you have some luck. Paypal won't always side with the buyer (and rightly so), but you seem to have a fairly good case by what you're saying.

Hopefully you have some luck. Paypal won't always side with the buyer (and rightly so), but you seem to have a fairly good case by what you're saying.

Yeah if it was just a case of me not liking the stuff after it showed up, then I wouldn't expect any success and would just have to wear the cost, but they've made an error and seem incredibly reluctant to do anything about it.

US East Coast hunkers down as 'bombogenesis' snowstorm hits

The US East Coast is hunkering down as a major blizzard hits the region for the first time in four years. The storm is forecast to stretch from the Carolinas to Maine, packing hurricane-force winds in coastal parts. Five states have declared emergencies.

Mayor Michelle Wu of Boston, a city that is no stranger to snowfall, said the storm could be "historic". More than two feet of snow could fall in New England. Weather officials also warn of flooding near the coast.

Over 5,000 US flights were cancelled between Friday and Sunday, according to FlightAware.

Forecasters say there is a chance the storm, known as a Nor'easter, will blanket the Boston area with up to 2ft (61cm) of snow. The current record of 27.6in (70cm) within 24 hours was set in 2003.

Experts say the storm will undergo bombogenesis, meaning that colder air is expected to mix with warmer sea air, leading to a swift drop in atmospheric pressure. The process leads to a so-called bomb cyclone.

A decent while back, i.e. I was in my 50s rather than 60s, I did something similar.

Neighbours had gone out and left their house to their son for his 18th party. After numerous issues, police were called (not by me) and the party broken up.

I was at the back of our house when our sons came through to say their scooters had been knicked out of the porch. I got in the car and went after and removed the scooters from the two teenage girls riding them. I was then confronted by a couple of mouthy teenage boys. They did not bother me so much as the half dozen who clustered behind them.

There must have been about 20 of both sexes in the group. My father was useless in many ways, but he was polis and taught me how to handle myself, so a stale mate ensued until a couple of the girls did the 'he's not worth it' routine and ushered the others away.

I had to go for a wee sit down after.
