Hopefully not too many of the fucktards we’ve had on bored will make it here but we don’t want an echo chamberDismal Pillock wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 12:27 amso the same vicious hostile unmoderated personal squabbles and attacks that have been dragging on for years between the regulars, but just dragged over here? Neat-o!
Probably in the minority here but was hoping for a bit more of the "not" in notplanetrugby
PR looks like it has finally kicked the bucket

Thought I would sign up for the lifeboat, seeing as PR is drifting rudderless at the moment. I'm not sure about the quality of the management here though because they accepted my application.

It looks like the outage a few weeks back was a snapshot of the bored which they've applied to the new format and done a incremental restore from Monday onto it.

I got the weirdest message today when i logged into PR
Planet Rugby forum is experiencing some technical difficulties due to a recent upgrade.
MOOSEHEAD - you are the coolest poster on Planet Rugby and all the single ladies / most of the married ladies at the rugby clubhouse find you very appealing.....

No - that was a hands off approach for quite some years, although it was definitely moving to a more hands-on approach of late.

If only there were mature technologies that allow low impact differential, read-only incremental restore points of a filesystem.

As a regular contributor on PR for 15 years I am pretty much done with that forum. It's crystal clear that the owners of the site actually don't want the forum to exist and genuinely resent people visiting and posting.
I was talking to Wang, you dumb bastard.

Might be the be-all and the end-all [t]here,
But here, upon this bank and shoal of time,
We'ld jump the life to come.
I've heard it resembles a baby's arm holding an apple.
Gentlemen (and ladues) i believe we have uncovered the NPR Poet Laureate
To be fair the owners probably had a click look around, mistakenly clicked on the brexit thread and thought it would be a kindness to kill.

Yes lucky it is free, because if it was a subscription service people would be puce with rage.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 9:25 am As a regular contributor on PR for 15 years I am pretty much done with that forum. They clearly do not give a flying fuck about any visitors to the site, as they treat the punters with complete disregard.
I'm quite ready to fuck it off completely.
Thank fvck for that ACCarter's Choice wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 9:25 am As a regular contributor on PR for 15 years I am pretty much done with that forum. It's crystal clear that the owners of the site actually don't want the forum to exist and genuinely resent people visiting and posting.
Welcome!
Making match threads over here was proving more taxing than I expected.
And it was a bit of a shame with diluted between the 2 forums.
Glad to have your skills over here.
sad to see it go....learned a lot over the years. As an American, it was a lifeboat for those who cannot get enough rugby here in the States.
Also, got to meet lots of great folks over the years, lots of Irish and English and welcomed me to drink ups at the matches (pre and post)...still need to meet Mullet one day

Yes match threads are a bit of a labour of love, that's why I always keep my match threads pretty basic. It's form over function. I'm very disillusioned with PR and I think that this place may become home.

Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury
Signifying nothing.
