This has probably been around for years, but I've only just discovered it. Find out what Hubble was looking at on your birthday. Minutes of fun. For me it was the GOODS South Field. Nice.

A galaxy that appears to host a medium sized black hole, apparently. Seems a trifle unfair.

Is this not a rather elaborate data mining attempt? Maybe not on the part of nasa, but it's rather straight forward I would imagine to pair the pictures to the dates?

Thought my birthday was a rather cool image.
On January 26 in 2016
Comet 332P/Ikeya-Murakami
This image reveals the ancient comet 332P/Ikeya-Murakami disintegrating as it approaches the Sun. It is one of the sharpest views ever captured of an icy comet breaking apart.

I wondered. May be internet paranoia but I read recently one should avoid these “What was your first car?” FB things. I’m probably preaching to the converted.

It's all the "Number 1 single when you were born vs when you were 18" etc. It's then very easy to datamine all the information. Sure you won't do much with just a date of birth, but then you can filter out those that have an actual name attached to twitter etc, and slowly you can build up quite a profile, find the facebook page etc.
