It’s a bit fuckin blowy
Sounded like a freight train going past the house at 3.30. and loose something banging on the roof. Had a quick look this morning and all I can see is a slate missing and the bin blown across the yard. Certainly sounded like the worst wind we've had yet. River/flooding is down a a touch this morning.

Rotherham station: "Please go to platform 2 for your replacement barge service"
Tis true we totally fenced the garden 23 years ago but the whole thing needs replacing now . what was left was totally blown into the storm drain/ditch.Happyhooker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 1:47 am Wooden posts are fine for fencing and actually better in the wind than concrete ones as they flex a bit. (Good, treated timber will last for 20+ years). They also look a lot better
What you need is concrete footings and, ffs, don't buy the cheapest panels available.
Good excuse to claim off the insurance then OS, sneaky oneOpenside wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 1:02 pmTis true we totally fenced the garden 23 years ago but the whole thing needs replacing now . what was left was totally blown into the storm drain/ditch.Happyhooker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 1:47 am Wooden posts are fine for fencing and actually better in the wind than concrete ones as they flex a bit.
