i struggle to understand why fellow cymros would be in favour of remaining in a union built on bloodshed, rape, pillage, white supremacy, ignoranance, arrogance, gammon-fueled, filled to the brim with the stench of plumness.

with the inevitable departure of Scotland and Northern Ireland i really struggle to garner why would we continue to be the side b*tch of the depraved eton educated social elites of westminister who are currently running a circus and demonstrating great contempt towards the general public it's no wonder why the union is dinistegrating the way it is.

i understand that this thread won't be for the tastes of avid daily express aficionados of the like of frodder and derwyn who are not too far off from a free bus-pass to the retirement home, and are cardboard cutout stereotypical out of touch welsh tories who get caught up in the hypnotic manuiplative storm in a tea-cup nature of contemporary media.

it's a question of pride and confidence of wether we want stand on our own two-feet and giving our rules the bird for the astrocities of dryweryn and the near-extinction of our language, and for us to have the spine to go alone.

Anyhow not sure if the criteria for united Ireland will be simple majority or super majority.

We all saw the mess a simple majority caused with Brexit

Legally, it's a simple majority of 50% +1.

Practically, any government in Dublin would want a majority of at least 60%, to put the matter to bed.

i'm sincere as can be, i feel flustered and frustrated that out-of-touch retirees, and predominately the older generations are stuck in their ways and can't see that the union is coming to a close whether they like it or not; it's inevitable, why people can't comprehend this fact is confusing the SNP becomes stronger with each scandal and tomfoolery coming from the south, and NI will want back in to the EU, as soon as Brexit nails a negative economic implications upon of them, plus the Catholics are breeding like rabbits.

Why should Wales be part of the United Kingdom Of England and Wales receiving scraps and leftovers from the noisey neighbours? no thanks nobody with an ounce of self-respect would want to be treated in that fashion, and the current state of affairs from the elitist clowns is accelerating towards independence, sadly at a snails pace.

oh the horror, the horror of sporting an influenical historical figure who played a vital part in the liberation of a country from being an exploited prostituted luxury cosmopolitan luxury destinaton where the majority of the population was improverished and left with no dignity to speak of, to being one with immense pride, a world-class health service, flying the flag of equality with everyone having an equal footing to prosper.

The same health service from which doctors double-up as taxi drivers and tour guides to scrape together some US$? Now that's prosperity.
And on the 7th day, the Lord said "Let there be Finn Russell".

Yeah he was a great guy alright. Provided you weren't black, gay or a political opponent.

Keep wearing him on your t-shirts though, that'll stick it to the man!

Sadly - 20%+ of our population is made up from English retirees who have moved here for the nice scenery & cheap housing - getting an independence vote past them is not happening. You could maybe convince the plastic Welsh in the Valleys - but those English retirees are a different kettle of fish - they are all mostly Brexity, Union flag waving, royalist types. This is where Wales differs from Scotland & NI

The fight for independence is beneficial, even if it is not achieved. I'm all for people getting engaged and passionate about our politics, trying to force change rather than accept the monotony of underfunding, Westminster's west facing blinkers and petty party rivalries. I haven't always been fervently pro independence but it's growing on me.

You're right...first get the pubs open and then let's see where it leads. Independence? Possibly. A hedge? Even more possible. The road to self governance is not one to be taken lightly or soberly.

Of course it won't. Non YesCymru sponsored polls have around 7% approval for independence. Most people are happy at Wesh-British or British-
Welsh.

We had a population of a few hundred thousand before coal. Cardiff had a population of 7000. Where do you feel everybody came from, now while I'm a proud Welshman in that context and very much like the history. Most of us are descended from a hybrid English/Welsh, are only here because of the efforts of a Scotsman or of Irish descent because of the need at the time for drunken illiterate labour in the cities. We are Britons and the English may be cunts but they are our cunts.

We in the South where 2/3s of the population are, more British than anywhere. And I include the Irish in that mix and maintain it because I want to.

I've no idea how Wales would fair as a member state of the Eupropean Union but I will be first in line for a Welsh passport.

Don't forget though that the majority of S Wales voted for Brexit, so I can't see the appetite being there to rejoin the union.
Don't worry. I've been drinking.
