Lineout numbers are even?
Huh?
Ireland don't have an extra player at the lineout just because you have a red. Your scrums have been fine so I'm not following your excuse for the maul. It was just poor body positions.
Sorry, just to be clear, are you saying that a) we're putting a winger in the lineout, and b) a winger is an adequate replacement for one of the biggest and strongest players in the team at the set piece that's all about those players? Because that's fucking stupid.

Ireland's discipline is awful at the moment, keeping England in it

Am I missing something about how England are managing this? Given our scrum hasn't been outstanding recently, how are they getting such dominance?
Two Test quality locks might help.

FFS, it was your lineout. Your call on the numbers. Get a grip.

Ireland’s discipline is falling to pieces here. Christ, that’s an awful kick at goal there. Smith is a bit wobbly on the kicks.

Slade having a crack here. Eh, shifted forward so Smith is taking it?

You're genuinely saying that having only one lock isn't a problem because you can do a shorter lineout for a 5m catch and drive?

Amazing stuff

Memories of this fixture in 2012 - BCM666 called it a manshaming on comms.
England vs Australia World Cup 2007 beats them all for scrum manshaming.

Anyway, like I said, Ire managed the game badly against 13 man Italy so this should not be a surprise.

England tour to SA in the 2000s when the old pros walked from scrum to scrum giving the Saffers a pasting while we lost by a cricket score seems more appropriate

Fairly sure it was all of them. A shorter lineout for a drive makes no sense. Doubly so when doing so just exacerbates the loss of one of the biggest players in the pack, because the opposition still have both of theirs.

It was a dumb comment and this is a dumb argument, no matter what you do, not having a lock is going to damage the driving maul. It's self evident to everyone except weirdly argumentative Frenchmen.

If I'm remembering right it was the one after the 07 RWC. Strettle ended up in hospital too iirc.

I'd love to see the overhead to get a proper idea of what happened. You must imagine they ran around him.

Yes, thought he could have gone for a yellow card as it was cynical in the 22.

Have to say that’s a hell of an effort. Assume we’ll lose but can’t fault the guts

I can't see what is wrong with him drawing attention to it if Henderson is daft enough to do it.
