Well that folded fast! Haven't been watching. Any demons in the pitch? 2 run outs not good at all.

Hitting a single stump from the boundary is some skill. I rather suspect that, if the substitute fielder can repeat the trick one time in a hundred, it's a lot.

Harmer gets Shadman, Verreynne wags his finger under his nose a little unnecessarily.

I'm being a little pessimistic.

No demons as far as I can see, but the pitch is taking turn.

NZ vs Netherlands 3rd ODI kicks off in a few minutes. Latham won the toss and we're batting.

Roscoe's last hurrah. His 450th and final game for New Zealand. What a fantastic career.

An emotional national anthem for Rosco -- accompanied by his three kids. A 16-year career comes to a close for an outstanding cricketer.

18 overs to go and Taylor is still waiting. If he doesn’t get to bat perhaps we could do a Dipak Patel through back and chuck him the new ball.

Taylor off the mark.

Hopefully he can relax and have a bit of fun - plus swing a couple into the stands over cow corner.

All over for Taylor.

Nice to see him go out with a smile and the response from the crowd and Dutch as he left.

Terrific catch, and possibly a very important one given the mood Bracewell was in.

Van Beek, the bowler, used to be flatmates with Latham. From cricinfo
"When I finished school and moved out of home, I moved into Tom Latham's house in Christchurch," van Beek said when interviewed ahead of the three-match ODI series. "Matt Henry was the third flatmate and we lived together for four amazing years. It was easily the most fun time of our lives. Three great mates, all living and breathing cricket, under one roof."

I'm loving it, buddy.

Harmer and Maharaj share the second innings wickets, with Maharaj picking up 7.

South Africa win by 220 runs.

Really wish I could have got to Kingsmead to see it.

7 for Maharaj, 3 for Harmer. Spinners do the business.

I said that, based on the first innings, as I thought I'd made clear.

I really didn't think that we'd played all that well.

Nevertheless, I'm pleased that we came back.

Now, for the game at St Georges, presumably you'll be watching at the ground? When I used to play hockey there, we were allowed to watch matches from the Crusaders Club bar. Special times.

Awesome display. Not like Bangladesh are particularly susceptible to spin.

Nice to see Keshav flex his muscles a bit when a bit of off-spin competition is brought into the team. Its amazing how far our spin stocks have come since the days of Symcox, Boje, Adams, Harris, Eksteen, Botha et al. They could all do a holding job but none of them were consistently threatening. Harmer, Maharaj and Shamsi are all world class. Imran Tahir was no. 1 in the ODI rankings for an age.

As an aside. Maharaj went to Northwood HS same as Sean Pollock and Robin and Chris Smith who played for England. Northwood was formed when Beachwood and Northlands merged in 1990.

Eh?

Robin & Kippie Smith were still at school in 1990?
