The worry with the Stormers are that they have the ability to score unbelievable tries and a very strong defense. As soon as they have a 10 point buffer the vokken silly kicking starts is keep bal in hand phase and kill off the game. This cost them matches on tour and we're lucky specially the last few matches.

Now is the perfect time to peak agains strong opposition.

Decent outing from the Sharks. Considering the conditions, I thought they ran the ball well and played with some good intensity. Lions were a bit better than the final scoreline.

Another big game from Pepsi, looks to have taken the 8 jersey off Notshe. Jaden also making the 9 jersey his own.
Not a bad game from Bosch either to be honest, probably thanks to his forward pack who gave him so much solid ball.
Kok is also swiftly becoming my favourite Sharks player, looks like such a cool dude.

Given our run-in of games, I think we'll come unstuck against the Irish teams, so got to make the most of these wins.

KEBBLE STAYING WITH GLASGOW WARRIORS

Oli Kebble is looking forward to doing whatever it takes to drive Glasgow Warriors towards silverware in the coming years, after the 29-year-old put pen to paper on a new contract extension with the Scotstoun outfit subject to medical and visa.

The popular prop has become a mainstay of the Glasgow playing group since arriving at the club back in 2017, with both his scrummaging prowess and barnstorming presence with ball in hand making him a valuable asset to Danny Wilson and his coaching team.

Having made his debut away to Connacht in September 2017, the former Stormer has racked up 72 appearances in Glasgow colours so far, most recently starting in Friday’s 40-12 victory over Zebre Parma at Scotstoun.

That outing also saw Kebble notch his fifth try for the club, showing good footwork and strength to reach out and dot down in front of the East Stand.

The Durban-born loose-head was part of the Glasgow Warriors squad that reached the 2019 Guinness PRO14 Final at Celtic Park, as well as a Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final in the same campaign.

Son of former South African international prop Guy Kebble, he made his international debut for Scotland in October 2020, coming off the bench in a 48-7 win over Georgia at BT Murrayfield.

Capped 11 times in the dark blue jersey to date, the former Dulwich College student crossed for his first international try in Scotland’s 60-14 win over Tonga last October.


“I’m stoked to be staying,” Kebble told glasgowwarriors.org.

“It was a really easy decision for both my partner and I – we both really wanted to stay and I’m delighted to get the deal over the line. Glasgow has really become a home for us. The environment that the club offers not just for players, but for families, is second to none and we couldn’t be happier to be staying.

“There’s so much young talent coming through, and I sometimes have to pinch myself that I’m one of the more experienced heads in the squad now – I’m still young at heart! These guys are going to make us so much stronger and they’re going to develop into key players for this club.

“I’m excited for what’s to come in a Glasgow Warriors jersey – this club is building really nicely with one of the strongest squads since I’ve been here, the future is looking bright and it’s a great time to be a Glasgow Warrior.”

Head Coach Danny Wilson welcomed the announcement, adding: “It’s great that Oli has committed his future to the club.

“He is an outstanding scrummager and a huge physical presence.

Danny Wilson’s men depart from Glasgow Airport today (Monday 18 April) ahead of Friday night’s clash with the DHL Stormers at Newlands in Cape Town, before facing the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria a week later.

It will be the first time Glasgow Warriors have faced either franchise, having earned victories over the Cell C Sharks and Emirates Lions at Scotstoun earlier this season.

In total, 17 Scotland internationals will board the plane to South Africa, including the Player of the Match from Friday night’s win over Newcastle Falcons in the form of Kyle Steyn.

Further international experience is provided in the form of Jack Dempsey and Domingo Miotti, as well as Scotland 7s veterans Robbie Fergusson and Ally Miller.

FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy second-rower Max Williamson also travels with the squad, and would make his Glasgow Warriors debut if called onto the field in either of the two fixtures.

Co-captains Ryan Wilson and Fraser Brown lead the travelling party, with a win in either match guaranteeing Glasgow’s place in the URC knockout stages.
