They’re are less than 500 covid patients in hospital in the UK. There’s 140,000 beds.
Thank fuck the NHS is treating things which are the cause of 99.5% of deaths in 2020.
You are clearly wrong about hospitals being empty.Bimbowomxn wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 8:44 am

NHS England is reporting 590 covid patients in hospital. To be in this category you have to have tested positive in the last 14 days. This is a weird categorisation. Given deaths are considered as anyone to have tested positive in the last 28 days, someone could be counted as a hospital covid death when they weren't considered a covid hospital patient.
Scotland appears to count this differently as they still have over 200 hospital covid cases
So that's over 800 even by the dodgy counting method of NHS England.
Now you'll deflect onto something slightly different with a question to distract from being caught again.

76 patients on ventilators in the whole UK.
480 patients in English hospitals (sorry I thought Scotland was covid free by now).
Apologies Biffer for the “lie” , it does however confirm the very very low incidents of serious illness from Covid.
Let see in a week what the second wave looks like.
When do we think the GP’s will be taking appointments again ?

It didn’t go up last week of course. Last week we recorded a death free day and every other day in single figures.

Yes, it's hard to compare when the Govt using the same metric for the last ~+5 months, just happens to delay, then change how that metric is reported mid-week, when that week just happens to show the first rise in deaths using the same, that metricBimbowomxn wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 10:19 am It didn’t go up last week of course. It’s not that hard to compare. The deaths after the day we recorded zero had 2 deaths, in % terms a dramatic rise.

No time restriction imposed 20
Death within 60 days, or COVID-19 on death certificate 20
Death within 28 days 0
Previous Metric
48
& the day after your 0 to 2 example, your metric, said 2 people died on the 17th. Yesterday that number was revised to 11 (old Metric 98)
and remember the 'new metric' you're so keen on results in a whopping 15,000+ discrepancy when compared with the ONS excess deaths data (which if I recall correctly, you said is more reliable than the PHE data).

All you keep doing is confirm how low the numbers of deaths are. There’s no second wave yet and the first is over.

While many factors contribute to how severely people are affected, including access to healthcare, occupational exposure and environmental risks such as pollution, it’s becoming clear that for some of these at-risk groups, it’s the response of their immune system – inflammation – that explains why they get so sick.
Specifically, we’re seeing that the risks associated with diabetes, obesity, age and sex are all related to the immune system functioning irregularly when confronted by the virus.

So weird, under the old method, today's reported death count in the uK is 5 deaths.
Under the new method (Deaths within 28 days) it's 1 on their xls published speadsheet.
But on the primary website (also says deaths within 28 days) it's 6

I know Raggs and co. have been at pains to point out that you're not immune to a virus, just that you fight it off easily and generally don't shed the virus. This guy was asymptomatic, is it possible he was in the process of fighting it off as normal and wasn't contagious? Anyone want to field this? Are you temporarily positive for a virus that you're 'immune' to while your body kills it?
