Truss, for crying out loud: the "Pork Markets" Prime Minister?
It's "team end the fairy tales (but keep telling some)" Vs "team gormless".
Mordaunt and Truss are quite similar in direction, their programme is auction the UK to the US then drive around in tanks. One of them heads up team gormless the other fails.
Mordaunt is doing well in Conservative Home polling. In the betting Sunak and Mordaunt are neck and neck, Truss a bit further back, the rest have fallen away.
Sunak being a billionaire (one way or another) and PM is just too much conflict of interest, that's a lot of power concentrated into one man. Truss is shameless in a similar way to Johnson. Mordaunt is the best of those three by process of elimination.
Javid has dropped out now.
It's the worlds worst beauty contest.
When was the last time any MP, who hadn't held on of the great offices, was anointed PM ?
Just the possibility that the likes of Braverman could become PM should be the kick up the arse the UK needs to put their unwritten Constitution down on paper.
If anyone has read "
The Forth Protocol", the reason why the Soviets planned on exploding a nuke, was to blame it on the US, & to do so right before a GE, so that a Soft-Left Labour leader could become PM, & then the Soviets could orchestrate a take-over of the Party by a Hard-Left candidate, & then get rid of all Nuclear weapons, & leave NATO. All without the consent of the British public, & all perfectly legal.
I'm guessing Steve Bannon has read the book !
