errr, not sure if serious???
What a terrific player Jason White was; one of the first guys I really loved as I was getting into the sport. I think his style was very American-friendly if that makes sense.

iirc, Hastings had just missed a kick at goal and was furious with himself.
There's a great youtube vid out there with big hits from White, Jerry Collins and Seabass Chabal
Thats some fury to take it out on Richard Loe
It was 1987 FFS
I can probably help you find a clip!C69 wrote: Thu Oct 27, 2022 10:11 pmIt was 1987 FFS

I just hope C69 applies the same keen powers of observation and attention to detail to his job in the NHS.

More impressed with the tackle on Hastings by Zinzan that immediately followed... would be a yellow card for Zinzan these days though..

Red card - lifted legs above the horizontal and speared him into the ground without regard for the player's safety, possible mitigation in that Hastings attempted to break his fall with his arm, but he still came down heavily on the neck/shoulder area.
Two reds! Hastings for the forearm to angel Loe's face...Tichtheid wrote: Fri Oct 28, 2022 2:43 pm

pfft, that's nothing more than a rugby incident, but it's probably safe to say that in the modern game Lowe wouldn't have been on the park for long enough for that collision to take place.
