Any sports that you find yourself disliking either due to finding the game tedious or finding the culture around the sport unpalatable?

Must admit I see basketball as pretty boring - too much scoring, it seems pretty pointless until the last 5 minutes.
Not a huge fan of American football, way too micromanaged by the guys with clipboards and headsets. The fact that the game is essentially made up of dozens of discrete, standalone set pieces and reset every time the ball goes dead deprives the game of flow.

In terms of popular sports I just dont get, I'll say UFC.

It's all good until one guy performs a takedown or whatever it's called, and then its just 2 sweaty men rolling around on the floor together for the remaining 4 minutes of the round.

Tennis in general for me, loved playing it but can't be bothered watching it.

Snooker is another one, don't get the fascination with it.

Yeah, I understand why studying multiple martial arts as a means to becoming better at self defence makes sense. In that regard MMA is very useful.

But the actual spectacle of MMA is underwhelming. The sweet science is way better to watch and easier on the eye.

Soccer. Love-hate I guess. I used to play regularly from an early age on and followed it probably until the mid 2000s. World cups, European Cups, Copa Libertadores, European Champion Clubs' Cup and the early Champions League years. Since then money completely ruined that sport. Everything about it is beyond ridiculous nowadays. Can't stand it anymore. Even stopped playing.

Boxing. Out and out corrupt with smelly knackers at its very core.
Basketball. Shite.
Tennis. Shite.

Literally everything that isn't rugby. On the odd occasion I've tried watching any other type of sport I feel I'd rather be doing something else and usually go off to do that.

100%.

Poundland rugby. All the interesting nuances of rugby stripped away and replaced with big men running into each other for 80 minutes.

Fun for a bit but the novelty soon wears off.

I’ve really tried with league - but it’s just shit. At least with some perseverance and Madden I’ve got into NFL a bit and appreciate it for the set piece game of chess it is.

Great shout. Don't watch, can't watch.

Like a low class boxing, and becomes underclass when one of them bleeds or shits themselves.

The worst.

NFL is super exciting in the 4th quarter when teams have to get a move on.

I think I'd prefer the sport if teams had 20 seconds between plays instead of 40.

Rugby League. God it's awful
Football. Used to be a fan but from about 10 years ago I've fallen completely out of love with it. Can count on the fingers of one hand the number of full games I've watched in the last five years
Darts / Snooker / other games that pretend to be sports for tax reasons. Just no.

Then there's a list of 'meh' type ones
Not a big fan of motorsports, can see how some people would like it but not for me.
Basketball. Just doesn't grab me. It's a bit better when you're actually there.
Ice Hockey. Similar to basketball (except the Olympic tournament for some reason, that seems to get the pulse racing).
Horse Racing is good for a day out but I'd never sit down to watch it at home.
Boxing - professional is just rubbish, but amateur tournaments are pretty good. Had a great day out at the finals of the Commonwealth games in Glasgow.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Pointless one-sided 'contests' like scrums, lineouts, rucks and mauls are fun for a bit but the novelty soon wears off.

Pound for pound tennis leaves me a bit cold,

Ex colleague got me into Raonic vs Nadal at the Strayan Open here a few years ago and I don't think I lived up to the ticket.

Pounded the beers and just did not get into it that much.

Ditto State of Origin.

Left me totally cold watching that bogan contest when played in Melbourne.

Best part was queuing for beers. Would not return.

Golf.
Any racquet sport.
Pretty much all the Olympic sports, perhaps barring the mens 100m final and the closing seconds of anything longer than that.
Horse racing (not actually a sport, I know)
Spunky biscuit
Golf.
Basketball. I get baseball and NFL, the former may go on for fifteen years a match and the latter is Battle Chess with a ball, but basketball's repetitive scoring at one end and then the other, followed by ten seconds of lunacy at the end of the game to try and snatch a win is ridiculous.
Golf. Fuck me, it is tedious in the extreme. I understand why people play it but it's not a sport for watching.
Most of the Winter Olympics, but watching when someone stack it on a downhill slalom or a speed skater slips and takes out half the field with him has an amusement factor.
Cycling. Jesus.
Golf.

Ten pin bowling.

I have a strange condition that means I put it down the gutter 9 times out of 10.

I think it's called being fucking useless at 10 pin bowling. :???:

Anyhow I have retired and will only accept drinks while watching.

It’s gotten worse, the game has become too predictable. There were some amazing clashes the 80s/90s/early 00s. Much better to watch than say Scottish or Irish rugby. You basically want to see the best when you’re watching a sort.

Last week, as I watched one of the horses I have shares in run a fading sixth, I would have said harness racing/trotting.

But this week, after watching one of my other horses win easily last night on her way to Group 1 racing in November, it's one of my favourite sports again.

Number 8 there has an unfortunate surname.

From a viewing perspective and considering things that get a lot of time on mainstream TV I have very little time for golf or Motorsport.
