Can you give us any justification for the 17 year old, civilian being, armed, on the streets, in a State where he doesn't have a firearms license ?notfatcat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 11:03 pmI haven't said anything about what kicked it off and I haven't mentioned anything about the kid being or not being a white supremacist.

I see Trump is claiming he's the law and order candidate who will restore order.
Is anyone buying that? This is law and order under Trump's presidency. This is his America, made great again.

Short answer, yes. Yes, they are buying it.Fat Old Git wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 11:39 pm I see Trump is claiming he's the law and order candidate who will restore order.

Do people usually get 10 years in prison for that?

Depends on the state. Some right wing neckbeards have done digging and he was convicted in 2002 as an 18 year old and in the state where he did it the charge is for having sex with a minor aged between 15 and 17.
But that's not really the point. Dude did his time...he was murdered.
Edit: Just looking at some stuff and there's apparently no evidence, apart from a screenshot, that he was a sex offender. Looks like this could be a good case of the old Fake News. Weird how all three people the kid shot had "past crimes" Like...almost a real sweet coincidence.

What a stupid post. Its like you think just because most posters don't live in the USA, we haven't seen Biden on TV or the internet. He's absolutely fine. You've passionately advocated for Donald Trump for years on the internet and for that you should be utterly ashamed.Fonz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 2:15 amYou are correct, except I would say that your analysis carries over to Palin as well. I feel that it is better to go with a milquetoast, safe option than someone who is potentially repellent.
It doesn't matter. Or well, it traditionally hasn't, but we've never had someone of Biden's age and mental acuity in pole position for the Oval Office, so perhaps this will be the exception that proves the rule.
What a fucking embarrassing and shameful state of affairs. I wish China would have the decency to just nuke us into oblivion already.
Biden may be a sleepy old bloke but he's way more coherent than the orange rapey baboon that currently holds the job.

He's 36. In 2002, when he was convicted, he was 18.
From https://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/01405.htm
He had a Class 3 felony. So he had sex with a girl who was aged between 15 and 17.Sexual conduct with a minor who is under fifteen years of age is a class 2 felony and is punishable pursuant to section 13-705. Sexual conduct with a minor who is at least fifteen years of age is a class 6 felony. Sexual conduct with a minor who is at least fifteen years of age is a class 2 felony if the person is or was in a position of trust and the convicted person is not eligible for suspension of sentence, probation, pardon or release from confinement on any basis except as specifically authorized by section 31-233, subsection A or B until the sentence imposed has been served or commuted.
Except it wasnt class 6, it was class 3.Thommo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 6:23 am

Look at us, we're learning the intricacies of Arizona child abuse laws together.A Class 3 Felony under this statute (Sexual Abuse of a victim under 15 years old) carries a possible sentence of minimum 2.5 years prison, presumption 5 years prison, and maximum 7.5 years prison.

Class 2 Sexual Misconduct is sex with a minor aged between 15 - 17 years when you're in a position of trust. Class 6 is sex with a minor aged between 15-17. So it's somewhere in between that.

The trouble is, just because we know what class 6 is and what class 2 is doesn't mean we can say with any degree of certainty what class 3 would be.
The fact that he got 10 years says it's a lot more serious than shagging your 15-17 year old girlfriend (which I saw wouldn't carry any prison sentence at all in most cases).

Fonz is one of those massive spoofers who sort of admires Trump's moxy and is sore his boy Sanders lost. So rather than but his big boy pants on and accept the loss he is schmoozing around pretending Biden rather than the massive tit Trump is the problem. I think that some of our American posters who profess not to be Trump supporters, yet somehow feel that Biden is worse need to come out of the closet and acknowledge that to all practical intents and purposes they fully support Trump and feel that his aggressive pursuit of his own self-interests and the Devil take the hindmost attitude accurately reflects the America that they would prefer to see.ticketlessinseattle wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 10:22 amFonz, is this actually quoted accurately ? you;re not seriously saying that Trump is a stable genius and you're more concerned about Biden's mental acuity than Trumps ?Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:26 amWhat a stupid post. I think the only people undecided now are the moderate Republicans. They're debating between party vs country. They don't like Trump but are afraid of socialist agendas. It's up to Biden/Harris to convince them. The Republicans for Biden movement will be crucial in this.
Trump have an ace up his sleeve, he's going to rig the election just enough so he can take it to court. He may end up winning.

Poor Melania. All she had to do was live the relatively obscure life of a complaisant concubine and disguise her contempt for her husband and his family for a few years, and then she'd have her payoff when Big Donny T went to the Great Spray Tan Booth in the sky (or probably somewhere rather hotter). Now it's all on show for the world to see.
Do you think hers was an arranged marriage to a orange man she'd never met? She knew exactly what kind of wanker he was and was only interested in his cash.
Sadly he's lived much longer than her or anyone hoped he would.

Every kind of refuge has it's price. Melania has a good deal.
I did not even vote in the primaries for "my boy" this time around; you might be confusing me with Bones as he was pretty gung ho on Bernie. I do like him more than others since he correctly diagnoses the biggest issue is our country and is consistent on it, despite being wrong on a lot else, but I have little faith in anybody's ability to do anything substantive to set this country on the right path, least of all through democracy; corporate America is in charge and in the age of the internet and social media they also control the discourse. It's over.EnergiseR wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 11:19 am Fonz is one of those massive spoofers who sort of admires Trump's moxy and is sore his boy Sanders lost. And FFS the likes of NYT and WaPo (can't remember which) ran op-eds saying Biden's mental acuity was a question worth asking. It's not exactly controversial or a "right wing talking point" which has become the idiots' refrain.
Biden is not the problem, but affirming this path for Democratic party (which is what his election would do) isn't in the long term interest of the country. Sorry.

It's a shame to see you've fallen so far from your heydays of talking about ass rape in every other post. Sad.
While you're quite knowledgeable about rugby it unfortunately seems to have come at the cost of knowing fuck all about literally anything else.
No serious commenter would genuinely cast doubt on Biden's mental acuity, given the stammer issue. He's clearly compos mentis and a lot more coherent than many currently in Govt. He's slightly older than his opponent, but clearly in better mental health than him (or Reagan, if you want other comparisons).
It's all well and good criticising Democrat choices but perhaps targeting his record and his real weaknesses would be the way to go rather than repeating dumb Fox News talking points.

I'm not going to get drawn into a "who's more senile" debate but Biden is very gaffe prone and forgetful when speaking in public.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 3:37 pm No serious commenter would genuinely cast doubt on Biden's mental acuity, given the stammer issue.
