The thing with deficits is they are nothing if not personal. Apparently the UK is so perfect that we can say with complete 100 % certainty that if you are poor you deserve it and if you are rich you deserve it too, and if you inherited or married into your wealth you really really deserve it...because how else could you really really fucking resent poor people then and go full Iain Duncan Smith, if you don't think you do?
Charles Dickens wrote about this at length, that people who marry or inherit their wealth become extremely resentful about the poor as the poor have it in them to lift themselves out of poverty and feel a sense of incredible achievement, whereas the lucked into money and privilege types, can never feel this. The funniest and most predictable thing that has happened to me here is debating with these risable people and when I posted eight glowing references (after nearly a decade of being called useless and lazy) from people stating that I am an incredible worker who creates fantastic computer systems.
The reaction was...
1)well if you were great they would have employed you...erm nope, they didn't have the funding. They were charities. And they don't really need me once they have the systems.
2) that I couldn't possibly have references because I was unemployed as the world is perfect.
3) That I made them up, after another poster verified them.
This is the world I am talking economics at.

I have been an unpaid carer for ten years, and have been unemployed within that as transitioning to carer is never clean, people need 5 hours a week, then 15 hours then 35 hours a week.

To be clear, I’ve never done the whole multi thing, as although I’m sad enough enough to spend time on forums, I’m not sad enough to try and invent friends or multis to back myself up.
Refry appeared to be real , and if the joke is on me for falling for a fake cv when I was trying to help him get a jobseekers training thing via my brother who worked at DWP at the time, then so be it. Trying to help someone get some help is actually a fairly decent thing, even though I do make fun of people on occasion. He just lost his steel job, had health issues and depression , and the rest spiralled - have seen similar effects in my brother, and that South Wales part has extraordinarily large amounts of people on antidepressants and stuff.
At least he has his hobbies and a ltg who is a nurse, to me he has some priorities better adjusted than say other single Middle Aged types who spend 24/7 on forums attempting to be correct about everything.

Do you understand how public sector pensions work? Clearly not. They are paid in through your career, which you have the option to op out of if you don't want it. The teacher one has been in surplus given the amount paid in since the 1930's and the amount paid out. So the tax payer has actually benefitted form public sector pensions.
