Well whatever the Scarlets can do the Dragons will do differently and get a try from a forward play. 15-19 HT

Dragons need to do something about the Scarlets forward power.

Try disallowed, a let off for the Mighty Dragons, going to be a tough 10 minutes.

Cruel bounce of the ball allows Scarlets a score. 15-26. BP for the Scarlets.

Unbelievable that the officials would collude to steal the game from the Dragons like this. A fine Dragons try is disallowed and the Scarlets are given 3 points 15-29

Well it ended 20-41 to the Scarlets and all because they were the better team. You won Scarlets. Enjoy the Welsh derby win, I hope it makes you very happy. Dear lord. What a sad little life Scarlets. You ruined my night, completely, so you could have the Welsh derby, but I hope now you spend any bonus money on some lessons in grace and decorum, because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.

Good luck against Toulon.

I'm not saying this as a wind up, but I find Ken Owens to be a niggly unpleasant bloke at times, especially against the Dragons, he has a bit of the school bully about him.

Thought the decision to chalk off rosser's try was very poor. Some people suggesting rosser was offside from Williams' hack on... Very marginal on replay, another that would have been very harsh to give.

Scrum was pasted as expected but actually Reynolds did ok when brown came on, which bodes well. I thought Tompkins at 12 was interesting and seemed to allow us to stretch them. Would love to have seen what we could have done with the likes of Harris, Jarvis or fairbrother, and Holmes at FB.

Progress in our back play, but still need the platform... Not too disheartened considering the age range on display. Bring on Bristol.

Steff Evans is not an international standard player. However much WOL tries to tell us he is

Plenty worse have been capped. If he could tidy up his defence (and his haircut) - he'd be in with a shout.

Pivac hates him though - so that's that

Just needs to sort out his decision making and lack of pace whilst he's there

Considering our options it's tough for any player to get a wing spot now. He's quality going forward, I love watching him play but I wouldn't select him above plenty of other options. Josh Adams is the only solid wing pick for me right now. Lane, North, mcnicholl, Hewitt, rees-zammit, Holmes, even Liam Williams or Amos depending on who plays 15... He's a different kind of wing, but Evans is only one of many going for one spot. Could easily end up with very few caps but a great club career.

I was working so couldn't watch/listen to it but it looks like the Blues game over Rodney went off with no problem. It's nice to see the Welsh teams pull together and help each other out.

Greg Bateman has signed for the Dragons. 31, loads of experience, has played all three positions in the front row...good signing.

Wonder whether this means we'll see Bevington miss out on a contract...

With Harris, Jarvis (in a pinch), Maguire (potentially - looks a good ball carrier), Bateman, Reynolds, Fry and Bevington (possibly) we'd have lots of options at loosehead for once.

Yep, he'd have to play well to get ahead of the likes of Wyn Jones, Nicky Smith, Rhys Carre, Rob Evans, but hopefully he has an impact and makes it a conversation.

Having seen a bit more of Maksyimw I still think we need another lock - I'm not sure he's much better than the other options. If I was picking our best side for Bristol today, I'd have Screech and Joe Davies ahead of him...and even Max Williams was more noticeable in his time on the pitch.

Williams was our top tackler against the Scarlets, 10 tackles no misses from 53 minutes, but he only passed once and carried once - needs to up those stats...but I did notice him a lot at their mauls making a nuisance of himself. If we can sign Reynolds it would be a huge boost, because he looks a real step up.

Yes, he'd have to play well but if he plays to anywhere near his ability I think he'll leapfrog most of those through his ability to play across the coalface.

Maguire's scrummaging will be the big question with him - his carrying is clearly strong, but if he's another weak scrummaging prop he's just not going to get ahead of Harris, Bateman, etc.

Bateman I think will prove to be a good signing. 31 is a good age in prop terms - should have a good few years to come, and he's got bags of experience. Now we just need the equivalent locks.

Tier 1
Exeter, Sale, Leinster, Edinburgh, Bordeaux, Lyon
Tier 2
Bristol, Wasps, Munster, Ulster, Racing, Toulon
Tier 3
Bath, North’ton, Scarlets, Glasgow, Clermont, La Rochelle
Tier 4
Quins, Gloucester, Connacht, Dragons, Toulouse; Mont/Castres
So if I'm reading the rules right, we'll be playing the Tier 1 teams that are not in our league, so Exeter, Sale, Bordeaux or Lyon. 2 home, 2 away.

Should be fun...

Louis Rees-Zammit's try at the weekend - he keeps doing it, week after week. Can't wait to see him in a Welsh shirt now.

Well, I'm not going to go that far. Adams has proven himself at international level, and is a great all round winger. Strong, fast, good in the air, natural finisher. He's the first choice winger. Rees-Zammit and Adams would be one hell of a combination.

Didn't Adams finish as top try scorer @ RWC?

*checks*

Why, yes - yes he did!

But LRZ does look like something special.. apparently he's 6'3 as well so he better not be pansy on defence. I've only seen him in attack.

I'd love to see something like Tomos Williams & Anscombe as halfbacks, Tompkins, Lane in midfield...Adams & Rees-Zammit on the wings...Liam Williams at 15. Experimental with Lane at 13, but would be a pretty exciting backline to watch I reckon.
