I love watching little children running and screaming, playing hide and seek in the playground.

Yep, surely the good kids will need guns to protect themselves from the bad teachers with guns.

Christ, bloody generic background music for YouTube. Vaguely trancey electronica with an overprocessed, quadruple octave pitch shifted voice that sounds like a toddler has huffed helium and is now saying, "Do da do da do do day. Da do. Do da do."

It's unbelievable dogshit, I know I can turn the music down, but it would be kinder if they just had a completely silent video.

As a general rule, I don't advocate Capital Punishment, but one of the exceptions I do make to the rule is for Treason, where the treason leads to the foreseeable death of others.

Walker Sr was never a tradable asset, & should have been executed for his actions; he caused the deaths of who knows how many brave people, & he did it in full knowledge of what he was doing, & just for his lust for wealth; the fucker even involved his children once he was personally unable to develop intelligence !

This bitch should have fried too, & saved the tax payer a lot of money.

Her actions caused the deaths of dozens, but all she gets is a sentence that is less than she'd serve for a single murder in Florida.

Holy shit, Vincent Kennedy McMahon appears to have finally found a way to fuck his daughter, by apparently selling the WWE to the Saudis.

Huge rare earth metals discovery in Arctic Sweden

Europe's largest deposit of rare earths - which are used from mobile phones to missiles - has been found in Sweden.

No rare earths are mined in Europe at the moment and a Swedish minister hailed the find as a way of reducing the EU's dependence on China. The discovery is also being seen as "decisive" for the green transition, given the expected rise in demand for electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Some 98% of rare earths used in the EU in 2021 were imported from China. Over one million tonnes are reported to have now been found in Sweden's far north. Although significant, that is a fraction of the world's 120-million-tonne reserves, according to a US estimate.
...
"Lithum and rare earths will soon be more important than oil and gas," the EU's internal market commissioner Thierry Breton said last year.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Swedish Energy Minister Ebba Busch said the EU was "way too dependent on other countries for these materials" and insisted a change was needed.

"Electrification, the EU's self-sufficiency and independence from Russia and China will begin in the mine", she asserted.

The newly discovered raw materials may not reach the market before 10-15 years' time, the LKAB mining company's CEO Jan Mostrom said. Permitting processes take time due to environmental risk evaluations.

But Mr Mostrom called on authorities to speed up the process, "to ensure increased mining of this type of raw material in Europe".

Britishvolt enters administration

A largescale battery production facility and we can't get enough capital to get it going.

I'll be clear and say I know very little about the business or how viable it is/was, but this is symptomatic of engineering in this country. Funding just isn't there, and lending is so short-term.

Their product is ill-defined, not just to potential customers but also to themselves, which means they couldn't build a list of customers, and no bigger partner wanted to come in when the underlying tech didn't look ready to do other than need a lot more R&D spend.

One might argue the government haven't helped because any investor hasn't got a clue what policy is or might be with the revolving doors at numbers 10 & 11, but probably the thing really is they're not quite there on the tech front. Probably something will happen, without it happening it doesn't look obvious we'd even have a car industry, unless we focus on exports to Wyoming

They did produce some really lovely, Artists Impressions, of their imaginary factory !

.... and give the Bumblecunt et al some much needed photo ops, to pretend that levelling up is really a thing.

Brexit, & it's chaos, along with the certainty of Rules of Origin problems, & the dumbest Japan Trade deal ever, made this thing a non-runner.

Did they find it in search of somewhere else to dump raw sewage, or were they looking for an example of building standards that last a couple of millenia, & don't start to leak before the grass has started to grow over the trench fill ?
