Supporters will always hate on certain players for certain reasons like "he does not play for my team, he earns more than my favourite player, he does not play the way I want him to play, etc". Just like they'll hate on coaches, it's normal. My wish is that come the World Cup, those players and coaches prove their hatters wrong like they did in the last World Cup. So that those supporters sit with egg on their faces like the eggheads they are.

Sadly the eggheads are such kak supporters that they dont acknowledge being wrong even if it is for their country. Really sad.

Don't forget our Boks have been rested a lot this year, this is basically the start of their season now. Other players are in the middle of their season and at their peak. If you drop Mapimpi you lose a lot of speed and one of our best finishers, you also lose the combination and linking play with Am.

I was hoping he would continue where he left off in recovering form earlier in the 22/23 season, but over last year seems to be snatching at things, not winning the aerial contests we normally expect him to, making laboured and oft butchered passes, getting beaten on the outside, and whilst he may be looking for work inside, just not finding it like he used to with those surprise turnovers or ball slowing just inside the 15m.

But perhaps more symptom of confidence and current Sharks set-up and frenzied Bok play.
