Casey is too small to keep on trying those snipes in traffic.
Munster are going to have to dig deep to hold out

It's OK to send B/C teams. SA do the same. But then don't use it as an excuse when your team get hammered.Marylandolorian wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 4:27 pmB team, why send their top team knowing that they cannot qualified having already lost 2 games.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 4:14 pmSharks have already qualified. 7 points is enough.Sards wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 4:10 pm
A bonus point win is all we need. Should qualify then for last 16
Remember Sharks sent a B team to the URC
I want them to bliksem them hard. Sending C teams deserve it.
Posters here repeatedly told you that only 4 Top14 teams can play both competitions, UBB isn’t one of them, even though 2 years ago they played the semifinals.

Appalling decision, and probably the game gone

I don't know how they thought that was the right decision

If any team knows how to kill ball, it's Munster

As we've seen, decision making is right there with execution as not being one of Saints' strong suits.

To be fair, they were playing against 14 men. Had Munster kept 15 players on the field i suspect it would have been a cricket score.Oxbow wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:15 pm Saints are incredibly frustrating, total muck in the first half, so much better in the second. Story of the last few years, when they put 80 minutes of rugby together they're capable of beating anybody. Sadly this happens about twice a season.

Eben Etzebeth is a god among men. He's simply fucking amazing

They were playing against 14 men for half of the first half and they were still shit. It was a totally different mindset in the second half, that's the frustrating thing. Agree that Munster would have put a lot more on them with 15 men.ASMO wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:17 pmTo be fair, they were playing against 14 men. I don't rate the Bordeaux Begles team the Sharks have played (home and away), it has been said that it's not their best and I take that on board. But I still think the Sharks should've done a bit better, I think you're correct that they're not using possession well enough. If Bordeaux Begles were good at anything it was solid defending though. Still the way the Sharks are using possession (counter attacking from turnovers/contestable kicks/running and offloading from broken play) could maybe get them past a stronger side on a good day, just because of how unstructured it is, opponents won't want to make many errors.Chilli wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 3:59 pm$harks backline is clueless on attack.

Always does. I imagine that if you decanted them into a reasonably sized stadium it'd be a decent crowd for a club game.

It's such a barn, there could still be 15-18,000 in it
A good win, but they should have put 50 over thst rubbish._Os_ wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:33 pmI don't rate the Bordeaux Begles team the Sharks have played (home and away), it has been said that it's not their best and I take that on board. Hodge in any kind of space is a problem for the defence.

With the gale blowing in Galway tonight, its hard to express how brilliant this kick is !

Definitely an excellent team on paper that haven't fully converted that on the field yet. A lot is going to hinge on the luck of the draw in the knockouts, if they're straight in at the deep end against a really strong side, then they could go out early.Chilli wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:38 pmA good win, but they should have put 50 over thst rubbish._Os_ wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:33 pmI don't rate the Bordeaux Begles team the Sharks have played (home and away), it has been said that it's not their best and I take that on board. Only took 24' for Connacht to secure the TBP

Bulls have a lineout maul problem both defending and attacking, was there in the Exeter match in the UK and some other games I've seen recently. In this one they just conceded a try from a lineout maul, then got stopped on the line using their own lineout drive attempting to score.
It's a huge weakness that's purely a technique/training issue, bit disappointing from a Jake White side.

Top 14 clubs in the diddy cup innit.
It just shows even more how fucking useless Eddie was. Tuilagi, May, Nowell, Youngs, all well past it and still his favourites. I fear England again with a proper selector, just haven’t for the last few years.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 14, 2023 2:33 pm Tuilagi ineffectual again, seems increasingly past it sadly
Still think we will win next month though
