I guess it's improved a bit then, tbh I've gotten used to this place and can't imagine ever going back.
Like Morgan Freeman's character is shawshank. A shame.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 7:44 pm I guess it's improved a bit then, tbh I've gotten used to this place and can't imagine ever going back.
Why aren't you in the queue at Pak N Save with the rest of the population?Jeff the Bear wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 6:47 pmI've nonetheless got my candles, torches and water bottled ready just in case.
I drink and I forget things.
I gave all my Covid emergency rations to the charity people that come around at Christmas time, well except the toilet paper of course, nobody gets that.Enzedder wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 8:41 pmWhy aren't you in the queue at Pak N Save with the rest of the population?Jeff the Bear wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 6:47 pmI've nonetheless got my candles, torches and water bottled ready just in case.

Strange thing is that there is no mention of the Great Freeze™ on PR main site or social media. Only went there to see what was happening. It's as if they want to not associate themselves with thier own forum
Oh I'm pretty sure they consider it dead weight that isn't worth the trouble at all.quarter2four wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 10:01 pm Strange thing is that there is no mention of the Great Freeze™ on PR main site or social media. Surprised it's survived really.
On the plus side, with far lighter traffic comes a complete absence of Bimbore and Mick-created traffic jams. And that's a very big plus.booji boy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 8:46 pmYep and a lot of quality posters I'd forgotten. I'd still pop in from time to time to check in on Kiwas Quitting the Bottle thread and check out the War in Ukraine thread. With the better software here you can see and read the Twitter posts without having to click on the link which makes skim reading the subject matter much quicker.

I have reached out and offered some advice on how to fix it, despite all of the water under the bridge, i still speak quite frequently to Jake and friendly terms.

So, is it just me or is starting new threads on Planet Rugby blocked? I tried to start a catch-all Super Rugby thread yesterday and it wouldn't let me, kept coming up with an error message.
Yeah, most threads that interested me seemed to be an endless cycle of shitfighting with repeated arguments going nowhere.
Also looks so low budget when nothing shows. The Ukraine War thread has more posts, but it's just a long list of twitter links. Here, the content pops up and makes it easier to see whether they're worth clicking (or just read the headline and scroll on).
Jake fecked up a software upgrade and the place is now dead.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 12:22 am So, is it just me or is starting new threads on Planet Rugby blocked? I tried to start a catch-all Super Rugby thread yesterday and it wouldn't let me, kept coming up with an error message.

Yep, I personally can't be bothered with the arseholes and the constant shitfighting and trolling. It might not be as busy on here but that probably suits us and it's a damn sight more pleasant. There is the odd fall out but never with the childishness of the old place.
