If Anderson was in charge they certainly would be, the rotters.

Strange time to get worked up about the TV director. It's been around nearly a decade now
Hang on, this is about the Lowe try?

TMO is in van with more angles than we see on TV. He's not just reviewing what we see on TV. He's running many angles at the same time to judge grounding.

The problem was Barnes saying onfield try.
that reverse angle though definitely showed the ground contact, so presumably the tmo didnt have it available
The reverse angle we all saw. The one that we saw the TMO talking over?

It certainly looked like his foot may have kissed the ground but the TMO will have zoomed in closely on that and his point wasn't that it definitely didn't but that it wasn't definite that it did. He has to be conclusive and touching the top of the grass doesn't count.

Look, I'd have no complaints if it wasn't given but you'd need to be in the van to say that the TMO definitely got it wrong.

His try saving tackle on Hansen :wtf:

Don’t think RTE showed it, but I flicked over and ITV certainly did. Clear toe of boot trailing on the line/in touch. SFA doubt for me. But I care not a jot. French tv editors have been humping Anglos for decades on that shit. They can fucken bite me. I taste of cheese and onions.

Jeez lads. Jalibert is not the first or last 10 to get knocked over by a forward on the charge.

That was some match.

We also left three tries behind us, which will be a work on, though I'm not sure any of the remaining teams have the pack to stop us on the line like France did.

Tom O'Toole was a revelation, though I'm not sure he actually propped ?

It was great to see Kelleher back and playing well also.

When we try to keep ball in hand we struggled to gain ground. We are better in broken play. However with the new way of referring rucks, turnovers will be rarer.

France have a mountain to climb.
This really isn't that hard to grasp. France had plenty of fwd momentum in this game but whenever the ball goes from 9 to 10, then struggles happen BECAUSE Ntamack
- stands too deep
- kicks the ball away aimlessly
- never takes the ball to the line: just runs sideways and so eats up any space created
- and today, his passing was beyond sh*t. He grassed the ball at least 3x and did a Russell special with an intercept pass

In the end, the backs, including Dupont, resort to off the cuff stuff in frustration.

Go back to where Dupont grassed the ball near the tryline: where TF was Ntamack? I'll tell you: nowhere. I00% if Jalibert had been at FH, he'd have been there to take the pass like he did last week off Tao.

Will be interesting to see what Bernol says after this one because Ntamack rated about 3 today.

Not much point talking further until it's confirmed TMO only has access to angles given. My understanding is they get all camera feeds but happy to be proven wrong.

Anyone have the incriminating angle?

As far as I can recall the game has ended and the try was given.

He has it all.

Ringrose just handed off a French defender like he wasn’t there
Handed him off, and tripped the following two chasing defenders with the discarded body.

Take my word for it. ITV showed clear foot in touch, right at the back end of multiple angles being shown to their pundits.

He was not in a fullback position to make that tackle. He was right on the defensive line with the rest of the players.

Out of interest is it touching the grass, or onto the topsoil that defines touching? Looks out, but some grounds could have a couple of inches of "hairy" grass.

Lowe would have known his foot touched hence his reaction after the event. Not saying he needed to do anything but he had some expectation it would be ruled out.

Funny how we can all look at it and come away with different views on a slightly muddy law, excuse the pun.

BERNOL RATINGS

- Ramos 3
- Moefana 4
- Ntamack 4
- Alldritt 4 (not sure how he gets the same as Ntamack. Whilst he was way too quiet, nowhere near as many foul ups as Ntamack.
- Willemse 3
- Atonio 4

With those performances, the result really wasn't being contested. For those in France, the score is out of 10 and not from 5.......

Willemse 3/10 seems harsh. Plus numerous French forwards in the 20+ tackle stats by full time.

Ntamack and Alldrit the only no shows for me, but then I wasn't watching your lads as closely.

A game that Ireland controlled most of the time, except for an freak counter attack try by France and 10-15 minutes in the second half. 4 tries scored, held up 3 times. Sums it up.

Strategically, tactically and mentally, Ireland were the better team and the score reflects the gap between the two teams.
