Again not trolling but I have this passportTattie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:40 pmThe lyrics you’re probably referring to are often mis-heard/sung, they are “… we can still rise now and be THE nation again, that stood against him…”quarter2four wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:32 pmNot trolling. For me it is hypocrisy to sing a heartfelt song about being a nation and then you have the chance to be a nation but you say ney we might lose a few quid so say ney.
Nothing about being A nation again because we are already.
and you have this one.
Notice that mine mentions my nation Ireland, see nothing mentioning Scotland on yours??
Seriously you should be a nation again.
I 100% agree as do many of the other Scots here… and many don’t. However, this is a thread about our game today v Wales. We have a Scottish politics thread to discuss such matters. So, with respect, feck off!quarter2four wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:55 pmAgain not trolling but I have this passportTattie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:40 pmThe lyrics you’re probably referring to are often mis-heard/sung, they are “… we can still rise now and be THE nation again, that stood against him…”quarter2four wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:32 pm

After a couple of interruptions I finally got to the end of today's game.
Finn had a blinder, not so much from the tee, but he created so many scores for us.
Duhan has defenders skittering around all over the place, but having said that Adams in the first half made the best attempt I've seen at shutting him down, he did so by not attempting to tackle him, which is pure folly, but by making vdM move in and out of his line of run, in the long run it made no difference and the big laddie made a lot of metres and beat a lot of defenders, freeing up others.
Biggar should not have been bellowing at Dyer like he did, the guy made a mistake, it's not like Biggar hasn't done so.

I'd love to think so, but there is the small matter of France in Paris first. Win that, and maybe we can dream (I still think Ireland are going to steamroller us though).
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Do Wales have any great hope if young players coming through or anything positive to look forward to?
We are already in the URC and the Champions Cup.Punter15 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:03 pmWho should replace them in the 6 Nations?Chilli wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:57 pmTo be fair, it's only Wales.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:46 pm
Theirs to lose.
Now that they've thrown the Welsh monkey/hoodoo off their backs, there's no one they can't beat.
I think I speak for everyone in Europe when I say
Get Fucked.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
True, France are no push overs especially at home. I'll probably be working when it's on but I'll catch the replay I'm quite excited for the game. But I think Scotland can do it.

Wales have been a bogey team for Scotland in the same way Scotland were for us in 90's.Chilli wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:57 pmTo be fair, it's only Wales.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:46 pmTheirs to lose.

I foresee an unleashing similar to Ireland in 2000 when we finally got the Scotland monkey off our backs.
Worth it

I had the same thought - felt like a cathartic, break out win akin to ours over Scotland in 2000. Similarly, it didn't come via a narrow win but rather a bit of a tonking.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 11:03 amWales have been a bogey team for Scotland in the same way Scotland were for us in 90's.Chilli wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:57 pmTo be fair, it's only Wales.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 8:46 pm

Good Scottish side, this.
Well, we’ll see. We’ve got rid of the Twickenham monkey (both without and with fans present) and now we’ve got rid of the Gatland one. The next one is the Ireland one and I reckon that will be beyond us. But first it’s a trip to Paris.ZappaMan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 11:32 amI had the same thought - felt like a cathartic, break out win akin to ours over Scotland in 2000.
