So now we'll start to hear about them dying after tragically falling down mine shafts ?EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 10:42 am Why would anyone on any position of power on Russia agree to go anywhere beyond ground level is beyond me
What's going on in Ukraine?

Plenty of organisations reward loyalty over competence.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 10:42 am Why would anyone on any position of power on Russia agree to go anywhere beyond ground level is beyond me
A comment on the shadow oil tanker fleet Russia uses.

Ceterum censeo delendam esse Muscovia
The interesting thing there is does any new announced money get spent on the actual things it is meant to or does it just get siphoned off. We know that lots of mobilised and other troops aren't being paid i assume because someone somewhere is nicking the money.
The Ukrainians have just given the Russians a very bloody nose in Vuhledar.
This video is interesting also because it is likely representative of just what the Ukrainians will do whenever they go on the offensive with their new weapons.

Also, see this at the URL given with supporting imagery, some potential targets in Luhans'k oblast if UA are provided with longer range weaponry.
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1627 ... 23106.htmlI have been working on unraveling the logistics networks in the Luhansk area since the beginning of jan. When different geolocated videos showed convoy's of armoured vehicles moving towards the frontlines in Luhansk & Donetsk
Part two of this guy taking on a mounted infantry assault on his own, the next 5 minutes. I've seen bits of this in low quality on Ukrainian channels, oddly the Sun has it all in HD. Also seen some AI image enhancement of the guy clearly visible gunned down in the open in part one, the gear indicates elite forces of some type maybe GRU or VDV, probably not Wager._Os_ wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 10:50 pmLooks like regulars, they've got high spec gear. Searching around it's apparently the 22nd Motorized Infantry Battalion, they started life in 2014 as the Kharkiv TDB (Territorial Defence Battalion, later replaced by the TDF/Territorial Defence Forces when TDBs were regularised), civilians who took up arms when Russia invaded the first time and did the heavy lifting beating Russia back (because the Ukrainian military was in such a poor state back then). They've been regularised since.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 9:32 pmhttps://files.catbox.moe/iim0yh.mp4
That's the longer version. It's pretty mad
Part of 92nd Mech, which has a fearsome reputation ... as you would expect having joined battle immediately at the start of the full scale invasion where they've been ever since and are still standing a year later. They've broken whole tank armies and rifle battalions on their own. Heavy fighting like that is probably nothing to that guy by now. Madness.
When you read anodyne stuff like "Russian attacks were repulsed in xyz", fighting like that is what's actually happening.

I love the juxtaposition of Biden meeting, & strolling around in Kyiv with Zelensky, while Putin doesn't get that close to his own Ministers in the same room in the Kremlin
And back home in the US, plants in the rust belt are getting $100Ms to ramp up their production of artillery ordinance. I think if workers in places that have done really badly the last couple of decades, start to see more jobs, & OT because now NATO needs to replace all those shells turning the Orc army into scrap metal & sunflower fertilizer, I think they'll be onboard for supporting Ukraine.

Putin's speech, it's all our fault - they wanted only peaceful resolution, we support neo-Nazis and paedophilia, everything in Russia is wonderful.. well that's me convinced
Can you imagine Trump there in his little golf buggy like he did at the G whateveritwas summit??fishfoodie wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 11:34 pm I love the juxtaposition of Biden meeting, & strolling around in Kyiv with Zelensky, while Putin doesn't get that close to his own Ministers in the same room in the Kremlin

I was expecting after the Mercs had eliminated all those prisoners, the next group to be press ganged would be the guys who used to guard i.e. brutalize, the prisoners.
I'm thinking when Himmelstoss gets sent to the front in All Quiet, and with the look on their faces like when McGinley gets promoted in Platoon...fishfoodie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:55 amI was expecting after the Mercs had eliminated all those prisoners, the next group to be press ganged would be the guys who used to guard i.e. brutalize, the prisoners.

Wonder if these are actual Wagner PMC contracted or mobiks or conscripts or the DNR/LPR militia forced into assault groups by Wagner commanders? In any case, what a depressing waste of human lives.
Now we just need for Erdogan to stop playing silly buggers
Erdogan won't do anything until after the election. Being belligerent on Turkey's behalf plays really well with his voters.tabascoboy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 4:35 pmWonder if these are actual Wagner PMC contracted or mobiks or conscripts or the DNR/LPR militia forced into assault groups by Wagner commanders? Pity the poor sod who has to bring a truck load of that garbage to the front, bouncing along, wondering if he'll get killed by incoming artillery, or the rotting ammo in the back, or the troops he's going to deliver it too

Darwinism by proxy.
The bald prick in Moscow says everything is going swimmingly, because that's what the ballwashing lickspittles he's appointed tell him; meanwhile, the troops he's sent into battle are dumb enough to advance down single tracks, & have their DNA removed from the pool.
Now if all the mine-detection equipment hadn't been looted over the years, & sold for scrap metal, they might not have to use their own armor to clear the mines. Are they hoping that the Ukrainians have less mines, than they have tanks ?

How on earth do they even keep Transnistria supplied?

Seems like it's mostly through third countries
https://odessa-journal.com/oleg-zhdanov ... -supplied/The rotation of the Russian military in unrecognized Transnistria takes place under the guise of tourists entering Moldova through European countries. The Russian Federation does not currently supply weapons to the so-called “PMR”, but they still deliver spare parts for repair and maintenance.
