Okay: so what happens if onfield is not a card and then reviewer comes back and says it is one?

Ah… the rule is new to me but I think they only review a yellow in case they can find something to elevate that.

Otherwise it would be a post match citing as we see now.

Chiefs look a lot fitter. Saders playing dumb rugby.

Hmm. I get that they are trying to speed up the game but if the 4 officials between them cannot make a call onfield with all the angles they have, the benefit should go to the offender. Anyway, the ultimate arbiter is meant to be the ref and not the TMO.

Meantime, Fainganuku is a bit sh*t.

Yep, but he's still better than Clarke.

Yeah. I had Sadists to edge this because I thought they had the upper hand in the fwds: esp the bench. But they've played it open which has suited the Chiefs.

Crusaders kicking strategy has been poor and he and others have ended up trying to do too much with the ball. A bit headless chicken from the back line tonight.

Brad Weber’s interview😂👍

Very lopsided on offence. All ending up down Fainganuku 's wing and Reece has barely touched it.

Good result for the Chiefs. Best part of that win was keeping the Saders scoreless in the second half.

I didn't see that... what I referred to was his opening. Nisbo, I think it was wanking on to introduce him oblivious to the scrum packing down that Weber was oaying attention to and

'over to you Brad Weber'

'ooooh jesus'

Really good to see players like Vaa'i, Stevenson, Nankivell, Weber and Ioane having such good games along with some senior players you expect to play well like Retallick, Cane etc.

The disgruntled Saders supporter behind Weber's left shoulder. The bloke's partner seemed amused...

Yep it's part of the trial to keep game moving, rather then have the ref continue looking at screen to decide just YC him and let tMO decide and watch the replays. Also any clear RCs are now proper red, no replacement.

My Chiefs' supporting mate is at work in Australia this week thank fuck, but he did send an early morning message aimed at filling his day with joy at the cost of mine... I think I did a reasonable job with my reply,
Sure... Razor has lost his edge. I'm sure that's it... I finally enjoyed the sleep in I owed myself, with rain pissing down every time I woke up last night it was good to just pretend it never happened and stay in bed. Good game to watch... first half was a belter, really fast and non stop. The Chiefs were getting better penetration with their long kicks. Both teams were looking knackered before half time but the Chiefs came out sharper and ended up making the Saders look unfit, slow and pressured into dumb play. Some poor decisions cost them at times... like Scott Barrett trying chip kicks ffs. Plenty of things to like from players in both sides, mainly the Chiefs... Stevenson was a star. Nankivell get better as the game went on and didn't let us down for our support Glenno. Weber was excellent and his live cross from the bench after he came off was brilliant. As a whole I think the Chiefs made Damian MacKenzie look better than he is as a 10 so Foster will have to pick him, he'll let everyone down and it will add some sprigs to the boot up Fozzie's arse we all need to see. Real shame to see Cullen Grace injured early and that didn't help the Saders cause but his replacement, Christian Lio Willie showed a shitload for a young player. Blackadder was immense on return, Goodhue was excellent playing out of his best spot at 12 and the front rows were good... but apart from that it's hard to find anywhere where the Saders managed to match the Chief's intensity. A bonus point win to them and nothing for the Saders from a home game suggests season over for the Crusaders already, the comp is too tight to give that away straight up. Clayton McMillan continues to do everything right as a coach and his teams are starting to have a trademark look to them... pace, flair and enjoyment. I didn't bother watching the other game, fuck the Aussies. be interesting to see how the Blues go in Dunedin, BB at 10, Perofeta at 15 and no Zarn Sullivan says to me that's not their best backline. Maybe the Highlanders could win that.

I wonder if Sullivan is still on the mend or simply missed selection for the game day squad.

I just had a long look around trying to find some news, and deep into the Blues team Facebook page is a team list for the pre season trial game vs the Chiefs. He was named at 10 for the 'finishers' team, so he must be working his way back.

Playing loose against the most lethal broken play team in the comp..?

It might just work 😂

I don’t like Paul Williams as a ref but he is the man in charge and the Blues need to get that through their heads and sort out the discipline.

Entertaining stuff but the error count is stratospheric from both teams.

If I were the AB's coach, I'd be worried by the fact than an all AB backrow in the Blues is getting murdered at the breakdown.

BB's kicking is still gash.
