Gardiner incredibly picky on that pen against Christie and then what was a routine late hit by Cane is waived on.

Yup - commentator again requiring a rules change to allow for diving onto players on the floor.

Bit harsh on Cane as he looked to have launched himself when BB kicked it, only to collect BB's knee in his goolies. Though my view may be coloured by my dislike of BB

It was late, if jumps directly at the kicker, there is no other outcome if he gets it wrong.

I can see why Gardiner missed it because he was looking the wrong way but what TF are the TMO and TJs doing?

I assume Funaki is injured? Heem too because his direct running would have suited these conditions?

Sh*te reffing as usual from Gardiner. Seems anyone is fair game for late hits in this one.

Blues' ruck speed is cripplingly slow just making it too easy to defend. Clarke pretty much sums up the Blues' handling all game with that.

I really rate Leon but the Blues have gone backwards this season to the bad old days of playing like individuals rather than as a team and poor discipline back to haunt.

1/2 backs are 3rd rate. They really need to pension BB off and put Perofeta in at FH. Christie is sh*te: there are at least 1/2 a dozen better SHs in T14.

Chiefs stay top of the table.

McKenzie had the better of Barrett tonight. Weber was better than Christie too, imho.

It probably won't happen any time soon, but I'd love to see Zarn Sullivan get a few games at 10.

A serious question on something I mentioned during the game.

The Blues were hot on attack and the Chiefs conceded a penalty, giving the Blues an advantage. The Blues spun it and BB crossed the goal line, only needing to ground the ball for the try. He tried to bring it around closer to the posts, only to step on the dead ball line, nullifying the try.

Yet Gardiner went back and gave the Blues the penalty, clearly reading it as there not have been sufficient advantage.

I reckon that was a bullshit call, as BB was in goal with the ball in hand.

Time for a review of the advantage?

Yep, I reckon you're right. If that's not advantage, nothing is.

Clearly, at present advantage only lapses when the attacking team scores a try but in this case that makes no sense.

Completely agree. Christie is ponderous and should be nowhere near the All Blacks. And BB should be worried about his chances of making the All Blacks squad this year... DMac is ahead of him for number 10 and 15... And Zarn Sullivan should be playing regularly for the Blues.. a crime he isn't......

Zarn’s coming back from injury. His return has been a steady increase in minutes I think….

and the Blurs look a better team with him and Perofeta together in the backline. They complement each other and set the backline beautifully.
