Yeah, happy to accept I may be misjudging things having been there. Leicester's defence was superb in the first half, but for midfield.

I wanted to review anyway. More than happy with Byrne's performance. You can come and put me down if I start posting loads of gifs!
He'd have fewer kids if he'd done more of that.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 10:53 amYou need to get out and have more wanks

Nobody supports the gick. Doesn't mean support for tarf though.
Being a ref that was obvious for you to stay neutral...Uncle fester wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 6:52 am Nobody supports the gick. Doesn't mean support for tarf though.
How did Mary's do this year, I have not been following very closely ?

Mid table in 1B. Sean Cronin is coach so after match sessions should be lively at least.laurent wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 7:06 amBeing a ref that was obvious for you to stay neutral...Uncle fester wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 6:52 am Nobody supports the gick. Doesn't mean support for tarf though.

I saw the the 'Tarf youth team are going well. so the club is keeping well.
My local club managed to stay up after promotion to Regionale 2 (highest ever / old Promotion d'honneur) and our Rugby School is one of the few that is going well in the area (lots of kids).

All the AIL teams are. Very few lads in their late twenties, let alone thirties.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 1:19 pm Marys is a young team but to be fair I think we have been saying that for years

Three Provinces into the Semis; I think the heat from the hate from the Scots & Welsh will cancel out the predicted climatic cooling
My hometown club of Dunbar play Skerries every year, one year in Scotland one in Ireland. I believe it's the oldest regular fixture between Irish and Scottish clubs going back over 70 years now, it is traditionally played on the Friday before the international.
It's a great weekend, there is a dinner and many pints of course. I've been over and played a couple of times, even though I moved to the city to play up the leagues I still love that fixture.
The towns are similar, small fishing places on the respective east coasts.
It's a life-long friends thing, I was home a few years ago for it and met some of the Skerries lads that I'd played against 35 years ago, or more.

Johnny's younger brother Mark appointed as Connacht's new attack coach. Is he the second row lad that played for the Southern Kings briefly or is it another brother?
He was apparently the attack coach for the last two years' u20 grand slam winning sides.

You're thinking of Jerry Sexton who looks like a 6'5" clone of Jonny.
Mark was a decent AIL centre with Mary's and has been coaching for a good few years now.

Too much kicking in the second half against a team very effective at ball retention.

You know when it comes to our inevitable QF exit in the world cup, the finger is going to be pointed at mental frailties like today.

I'd prefer someone who can vary more of the play throughout the match. Ross Byrne is perfectly decent against most teams, but against the top teams he just fades.
Fair dues to JGP for looking great whilst being the only playmaker.
Over the hills and far away........
To be Fair he was Crap against 'Tarf when at UCD...
I hope Andy Farrell has learned the lesson JS was taught. Rog has figured us out, all others will take note.
IMHO There was a serious leadership deficit yesterday, we kept repeating the same plays over and over with the same result. The poor clearances seemed to be due to pressure - leather it quick. That can be trained, it should be muscle memory regardless. There didn't seem to be any plan other than weather it? LAR have been doing this all season, it wasn't a surprise after all...

Derek the only 7 in the squad. Really hate the idea of POM filling in that role. Would prefer Hodnett, but Timony or Penny or whomever really. Probably Cian to miss out.Ireland Training Squad

Killer in the squad is odd as well. Both Loughman and Wycherly have been better all year

Well deserved. If we're not going to use him, let him play for SA.
