If ever there was a deserving centre that never got a look in it is Robert Ebersohn.

He seems to only post when South African rugby is active. But he is on Facebook (I’m not) so those who know him could ask.

I think it is a combination of growing tired of the incessant rinse-repeat arguments on here with sards about rugby and everybody else about Trump, and the fact that he is a principal at a school and managing all his teachers while they are adapting to Covid has been a massive challenge keeping him very busy.

Ja look, he was mainly on here to chat rugby, and sards tried to, but as we know sards does not rugby. Also, saffer's job is a noble one, and I for one respect it if he wants to devote more time to it.

Rob and Dan du Preez had great games last night against Saracens.

Also Juan de Jongh is playing very good rugby at the moment for Wasps.

 I'm serious. Amazing to see so many Saffa players who left under the radar and end up having fantastic careers overseas. I was even watching Anton Bresler and he's a different player.

Either the Northern Hemisphere style of rugby suites our players better. Or they are getting better coaching and management in the NH as oposedto what they got here in SA.

Coaching is the big difference for me. There are way to many 'mediocre' players doing well there.

Watching the premiership, I wouldn't say there is a distinct style of play as each team have their own style. Perhaps that is what attracts our players, each club offers something different by way of coaching, culture and style.

Is this the same Juan de Jongh who can't get in the team and has managed one appearance in Wasps' last 8 matches?

He had a run-out for the reserves and barely did a thing in comparison to virtually all his outside back teammates. And it's been his only appearance for a very long time. Because he's 2nd XV fodder now. [edit: he's made 3 starts for them in all competitions in 2020]

What I'm saying is: you're massively over-egging the concept of form and "having fantastic careers overseas" if this is your standard!

You'll be pleased to know Andre Esterhuizen made his first appearance off the bench for Quins. Looked a bit slow in attack but threw a couple of decent passes and put in two bone crunching hits.

Fair enough, I saw it differently.

I never rated him that highly, and if stayed in SA he would probably have retired by now. Instead, he's playing for a decent team and getting paid very well to do it (especially when converted into ZAR). For me that a fantastic career move.

Very pleased for AE. I tried to stay up to watch it. I think he'll do well with Quins, especially with Lasike outside of him. He's a great player and deserved more Bok caps than he got.

There's only Feikitoa you'd realistically expect to be ahead of him in the pecking order and yet we played Michael Le Bourgeois (ex-championship player, primarily a 12) at 13 ahead of him, which doesn't speak much for de Jongh's value in the team at the moment. In yesterday's game the outside back replacement who came on at 13 was an academy guy making his Prem debut.

Imo, de Jongh's issue is that he spends more time practising his dance moves and celebrations than rugby training.

His defence has always been immense, almost never missed a tackle. However he was also a terrible crowbar who never passed the fcuking ball.

Our Springboks playing in Europe are falling like flies.... looks like Pollard is the latest on the injury list, had to go to the hospital, was stretchered of during the game. By the time SARFU decide whether the Springboks will play in the Rugby Championship or not this season, we might not have much of the team left that played in the World Cup the way the injury list is piling up.

Who's out so far?
Snyman
Etzebeth

Pollard

Any others?
