Sexually transmitted diseases, deforestation, irreversibly progressive depletion of the global gene pool. It all adds up to oblivion, pal. Governments will fall, anarchies will reign. It's a brave new world.

I hope this comp ends up producing excellent games. Whilst i'll be honest and say I don't know many of those players, as long as the teams are fairly even in standard there is no reason why this tournament cannot be as exciting to watch as Super Rugby Aotearoa. I hope all Rugby fans and fringe Rugby fans in Australia and beyond can get behind this comp.
Good thread. Nice formatting. You get my tick of approval.
I reckon the Reds will thump the Waratahs here. I mean, it's the Reds though so they could bottle it and fall apart but I think the Reds pack (which has to be up there as one of the best in the comp) will look to completely dominate the Tahs. I'm expecting scrum penalties out the wazoo.
It will be interesting to see how their conditioning is. I reckon Thor might be back up to the 150kg mark.

Yeah he'll need to be careful. But there's always hope for retired fatties, Matt Dunning is the pin up boy.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 3:39 amIs it just me or does Taniela Tupou appear to be the kind of player who won't age well post Rugby? More Serge Blanco than Richie McCaw.

Just checked and struggled to believe that Hooper is only 28! The guy has been around for ever!
Serious durability, especially given his position and playing style. Wiki is saying something like 237 Soup and International games in 10 years. Does anyone else come close to that kind of appearance rate?

Going to this tonight. Our usual members seats around halfway have been moved into a corner spot, but I won't be complaining if the Reds get the win. Must be 6 or 7 years since we've beaten these cunts!

I've got junior training and then steaks on the grill and beers.

Junior training in the school holidays? Easts have a couple of weeks off. No wonder Sunnybank always beat us...

Nah, just an excuse to get the kids out of the house running around. Oldest boy still has training as well. 2 hours on a wednesday
Please use correct spelling - it's 'kunts'.Casey Ryback wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 4:17 am Going to this tonight. Our usual members seats around halfway have been moved into a corner spot, but I won't be complaining if the Reds get the win. Must be 6 or 7 years since we've beaten these cunts!

Reds heavily favoured here by the bookies..
Reds - $1.36
Waratahs - $3.20
Nic Berry has the whistle, not expecting too much first hit out, we shall see.

Hello
New to this message forum.
I used to read green and gold rugby but it’s a bit stereotyped there.
Anyway someone posted a link to this forum and this looks more interesting.
I hope to enjoy posting about the games.

Wait until Julian Savea retires...there'll be an audible "WHOMP!", everyone's ears will pop and he'll have gained an extra 20 Stone in a split second...Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 3:39 amIs it just me or does Taniela Tupou appear to be the kind of player who won't age well post Rugby? Better by the reds but they need to be consistent to take this away
