If only the same tolerance for Dinghy people was shown by some on this thread...
To be fair I actually find it quite amusing to see those preaching tolerance, frothing at the mouth at the nerve of someone that holds a different opinion.
A different opinion is welcome. However when DAC “just asks questions” over and over again in a QAnon tone, we all know exactly where he’s going.

There are dozens of other places on the Interweb where he can ask those same questions and get his jollies.

I don’t want to want to see aggressive Trump/Biden/Nazis chatter on the very few Boreds I visit, thank you.

There is no political will from anywhere to actually stop the boats either here in the English channel or the Med. I've accepted this now. We are going to live in interesting times.

Bingo.
You will need to explain how I am being played by large numbers of undocumented males of a working age, literally being ferried into the UK.

At this point I'm willing to believe it's all by design and carried out by darker agencies than our current Government.

You will own nothing and be happy.
C'mon DAC. You can and need to do better. Answer the questions directly
1) Did the Tories destroy the coal and steel industry in Wales?
2) As a result, are they responsible for the destruction of whole communities for generations?
3) Is that level of destruction far in excess of anything a load of dodgy immigrants could ever have inflicted?
4) Are the Tories the enemy of the working classes?
5) More to the point, are they self serving c**ts intent on keeping their and their cronies in their engineered positions of privilege?

And to your sidestep, I clearly stated that the Tories were playing you. Not the immigrants. And from that deliberate dodge I'm going to assume that you accept this is all a deflection policy by the Tories but it's just that you are happy to play along with it because it meets your own personal agenda on this issue. Which is a shame because as a working class bloke, you are doing us all a disservice by supporting these c**ts.

I didn’t really know DAC on PR, but I’ve not seen any evidence of him being nasty on here.

If anything, you’ve been the main offender of just outright abusiveness, in terms of banning.

Maybe stop attacking the player. Which used to be the premise of the bored.

Like DAC has done here, you continue to sidestep the points and simply flick the roller deck of hackneyed Tory PR cards.

So, I'll ask you again, just what the f**k qualifies you to comment on the impacts upon working class people?

This is really not the win you think it is.

I’ve no idea why you are bringing class in to this.

It quite obviously affects everyone.

They are being dumped across many communities, not sure why you seem to think it’s exclusively working class, if there even is such places. The 500 or whatever it is communities, it is not just affecting working class people.

On the other impact, which is the £6.5m cost per day, it’s costing the whole country in govt spend funded by taxpayers. The middle contribute a lot more to this than the working class.

So you’re talking a load of semi unintelligible nonsense.

Next you will be saying he wasn't born in Wales at all.

There appear to be suggestions that the French did not rescue these people (on the boat where 6 died) because the people requested to be saved by the brits.

That’s got to be wrong, surely.

Here it is, so you know what to ignore
A French warship was escorting an overloaded small boat across the Channel to UK waters when it sank today, killing at least six migrants, it was claimed tonight.

The PSP Cormoran is understood to have been tracking a number of small boats in rough conditions six miles off the French coast early this morning, according to a well-informed source.

A second French vessel was believed to be close by at the time of the tragedy. One of the small boats capsized as it entered a busy shipping lane and almost 70 people were thrown into the water. Six died and two more are thought to be missing. The presence of the French vessels sparked a furious political row as Tory MPs accused the French authorities of encouraging desperate migrants to attempt the perilous crossing in bad weather.

Mr Coker said he regularly saw French naval vessels escorting migrant boats. He said that last Thursday around six migrants fell into the sea just inside English waters after being accompanied by a French vessel named Argonaute.

Instead of rescuing the migrants, the French vessel waited for 20 minutes until an RNLI lifeboat arrived, he claimed.

Mr Coker added that people smugglers did not risk launching boats in rough weather before the French began providing escorts around three years ago.

‘When they were leaving in the dark and they had no escorts they would never, ever have attempted to cross on a day like today. That did not happen.’

I struggle a bit with the hand wringing over the deaths. If you close down the routes for refugees to the UK apart from the student route or if you give a sackload of cash to government then people will look to the market for alternatives. The market has provided alternatives and admittedly the safety record is poor. I can acknowledge the concerns about migrants into communities as people arriving can be very damaged. Say if they come from Syria they could have seen their homes bombed by putins planes and been attacked by chemical weapons (which i regarded as disgusting but others didn't and praised putins actions in syria). Or maybe from Yemen where they have seen people starve to death in the conflict with our Saudi allies

I'm not massively convinced a French warship is that useful for this type of rescue operation. It could just make things worse if its role is to monitor the shipping lane. That so few are dying could be seen as an achievement by the numerous parties involved but makes a poor headline.

Overall there is no simple solution to any of this and the gotcha stupidity of our politics and media is moronic and irritating.

They are not processing them because they know, most are genuine and will have every right to stay, that's why they have fucked up the processing system over the last decade.

You cannot demotivate desperate refugees by telling them they will be shipped to Rwanda or the Assention Island or a Prison Barge.

When will they learn this, is there a sign in the crate of the chicken carcus lorry they were transported on?

I fucking hate I live in a country where people love cruelty to other human beings just because they themselves are angry, miserable twats.

It's a patrol ship which, amongst other things, is responsible for SAR

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flamant-c ... rol_vessel

In general the UK and France seem to be managing rescues well, but there have been some reported incidents that are worrying, with apparent disputes over location prolonging rescues. It's pretty sad that political expediency is undermining thousands of years of maritime humanitarian tradition, but hey ho.

Anyway there is no point talking about it, their policy is so transparent, so obvious, so undeniable. When you are going 2000 pages about trying to defend or debate the completely indefensible, there is a narcissistic child in the mix somewhere, just using the emotive subject to get their supply.

Refugees have a human right to come here. The end. Fullstop. To give them that human right we have to change government.
Because this government will keep on going.

The problem is Britain is so unequal.and so fucked, and because such a few amount of people have all the money and power, that they see themselves as our providers, and they want to use that power to control who comes, because they think they have to pay for them.
You have to earn 35 grand a year not to be a burden.
So we are all seen as useless essentially. A burden. Being supported by people who need to whip up all the shit in the world, through their client media.. to keep their positions of power and wealth.
Britain is fucked, they like it fucked, they are not going to unfuck it.
Should spend 2000 pages debating how to remove them.

The UK took in 175,000 Ukrainian refugees under the Ukraine Family Scheme and Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme as of 9 May 2023.

It's common knowledge a lot of the dingy people aren't refugees.

As for the media, the media is inherently left wing. BBC, Channel 4, Sky, etc etc...

Germany took about a million, Poland the same. Czechia took more than double the UK number.

What about the dinghy people that are refugees? What percentage do you think aren't, taking into account the percentage that have their status approved when they're finally processed?

The UK took in 175,000 Ukrainian refugees under the Ukraine Family Scheme and Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme as of 9 May 2023.

It's common knowledge a lot of the dingy people aren't refugees.

As for the media, the media is inherently left wing. BBC, Channel 4, Sky, etc etc...
Germany took about a million, Poland the same. took more than double the UK number.

What about the dinghy people that are refugees? What percentage do you think aren't, taking into account the percentage that have their status approved when they're finally processed?
What relevance is the amount that went to Germany and Czech Republic? It's about a relevant as saying 1, 3 million Ukrainians went to Russia although it might be common sense that you'd go to a safe country as near as possible to your home country at a time of war.

I was trying to make the point that the UK isn't the anti-refugee unequal hell hole the poster I replied too was trying to make out it was.

As for your last paragraph, I don't know know the answer but for some context:

https://www.gov.uk/government/statistic ... -july-2022
However, since May 2022, there has been a significant increase in the number of Albanians crossing the channel on small boats. From May to September 2022 Albanian nationals alone comprised 42% of small boat crossings, with 11,102 Albanians arriving by small boat in those five months. In contrast, over the whole of 2021 there were a total of 815 Albanian nationals who arrived by this method. In some weeks over the summer, more than half of small boat arrivals claimed to be Albanian.
