Borthwick interviews like a crap MP. "I was very clear earlier in the week" "I've been very transparent" "everyone is on the same page, this is a team that sticks together"

Sonja giving Borthwick a huge out there by describing the situation as one he inherited from Eddie Jones.

Really poor and flat start from Scotland, just running without doing anything

Scots chucking loads of miss passes. Just means shovelling the ball to a player on the touchline who gets bundled out. Not showing Georgia any respect.

Yes, looks classic "pitch up and we'll win" attitude.

Yes, very flat and just going side to side. Georgia look a very decent team though. What group are they in?

As soon as Italy get Capuccino involved something happens. 12-5 Italy

Not sure if the backs have once actually committed to taking an up and under. 3 lost already without competition. Ridiculous stuff.

They’ve beaten Italy and Wales recently, they are not shit. That’s not to say we shouldn’t be controlling this of course, but I’m impressed with them so far

That's a knock on from Scotland, where they juggled that kick.went forward back into his own? player.

Could be the Scots are getting the ball wide asap, by being flat and throwing miss passes, because they're preparing to get around the Bok rush/outside in defence. Not doing so well against Georgia, because Georgia's defence is quite stand off, they've gone outside in sometimes, but mostly they're drifting and waiting for the Scots to run onto them. Scots look contained so far.

Don't think they're shit, but I think in the last few years the drop off in forwards is not matched by the gains in backs. In a wet weather game, like 2011 world cup, I don't think they have anything an organised T1 team should be worried about

I’m a big fan of Ollie Smith but feels like we are really missing the strike running of Kinghorn or Hogg

Joe Worsley coaching Georgia has kept Scotland to 0 at half time at Murrayfield on the eve of a RWC.

None of the best England coaches are involved with England.

Feels a bit like a game too many for the starters, only Dempsey, Cherry and perhaps Bhatti/Tuipolotu putting their hands up.

Hopefully they switch on in the second half or subs do it, if the case not really concerned, otherwise we would just be hoping for a 60 minute drop off where the tackles slip and Duhan gets through.

Joe Worlsey's done a solid job down in Bordeaux for years, but it's a bit premature to be putting him on a list of England's best coaches.

It’s a close one. Plenty of scoring. I think I’m going to stick to it for the second half.

This weekend is suddenly making this RWC one heck of a lot more interesting.

Best = shorthand for quite odd how England have coaches better than the coaching team they have picked, coaching other teams. Farrell at Ireland another. Edwards at France another.

The three of those together would be a good coaching team.

Scots have switched to short passes and running onto it, Georgia now have no chance. Shouldn't have needed half time and the coaches for them to work that out, unless they're playing to a set plan.

Part of the problem is that chucking Eddie when we did meant that there were very few coaches available when we needed them. Anyone good was already signed up somewhere else. The RFU are also bad at making their selections and offers. Sean Edwards has gone on record saying that in the past they weren't prepared to offer him a four year deal and France were, so he chose the team that seemed to believe in him and were willing to give steady employment.

Eddie seemed to prefer working with people who were not best in class - either rookies who would not challenge him or older ones who weren't flush with offers. These people were easy to keep under his thumb until they got fed up and left. That means none of his existing deputies were in a position to step up to fill his role as we see happen with many other countries.
