TBF to Mrs Oval - I played cricket every Sat ever since we got married - and it's only in the last few years that I'd even consider going on holiday in the cricket season - and she never complained.

In fairness to the future Mrs PB, she isn't from a sporting family so really doesn't get the culture. I.e. her understanding of someone who plays a sport is you'd choose 4 or 5 weekends a year and play then, rather than play and train every week of a season. Being from a sporting family I assumed this was blindingly obvious.

My other half is an amazing woman, but...

She can be very chatty immediately on waking up. I am absolutely not a morning person, so this does my head in. Despite knowing that I can't function until I've had a cup of tea, she just can't help telling me about the weird dream she had, or whatever nonsense popped into her head during the night.

My Mrs seems to forget that waking up mid afternoon after a night shift is my early morning and I'm not ready to talk yet.
