It's all about the penalty count, imo. If we can stand our ground and not ship penalties due to pressure, compounding more pressure on ourselves, then I think we have the backline to do damage to any team. We need to be squeaky clean and get on the good side of Angus Gardner - in recent games that has seen us compete far less at the breakdown, it will be interesting to see what we do today, Ritchie and Darge have strong instincts to go after any ball on the ground and in some way coaching them against this is clipping their wings somewhat.

This could of course be immaterial and the Orcs in Green could well just blow us off the park from the first whistle - we've been starting very slowly - but if we do manage to stand up to them a game of rugby could well break out, I really admire the SA backline. it would be great to see us trading blows with running skills.

That fucking pack, though...
I’m hoping we play for territory a lot more than we usually do and don’t try and play too much in our own half. The Sa NZ game really underlined how important exiting well is against them. Should help keep the penalty count down too.

Go Bokke. Need a bonus point and positive points difference. Ireland has something like perhaps 80 points difference.

Let's see how SA cope with the pressure of having to go out to win 3 games and score points (thanks to the insane draw).

Match of the round for me.

I feel you’ve got to play in their half. Otherwise you’ll be camped by your line, exhausted

Enjoy the game all (hope the saffers don't enjoy it as much as the us though) and I'll hopefully catch up with a win later. Mon the Jocks

I get the kids choir are disadvantaged but FFS just give them free tickets to the match or something.

And Hastings on comms? Can we do away with the old guard who never played pro rugby and aren't good commentators? Johnnie Beattie for example is excellent.

Whatever the result, Scotland need SA to replicate it against Uteland.

Those anthems were okay.
Someone just needs to tell the choirmaster that musical flourishes don't work in a full stadium. Just sing the songs.

This game could do with Sco scoring first.

That's a penalty. You can't throw it back after being rucked over.

It won't matter but he is a terrible referee.

Well at least Peter de Villiers made this RWC. Presumably the Scots kept him away from bikes and coke.
