Before the focus on head contact that would be a solid red.

A thug intending to hurt a player in a move that was never a tackle gets a yellow. Meanwhile players that get unlucky with no intent can collect a red card if head contact is made.
it's crazy, isn't it? that would definitely have been given a red in the warm up games, for example.

I can't recall ever having seen a no arms shoulder charge that hit the body given anything higher than a yellow.

Now this one certainly looked like there was some glancing head contact and since the 'tackle' was always illegal that would eliminate mitigation and thus be a red, but I only saw one replay as I had to put the washing on.

Only one team in it atm, question is if Portugal can build enough of a lead

Tadjer played out of his foreskin, not sure I'd have pulled him off just yet.

A pity as we all love an underdog but that’s a hugely patient and professional try from Georgia

Very much a game of two halves as the old cliche goes. A draw probably fair. Not the first time Portugal have drawn with Georgia recently. Despite their self-advocacy, they're not the only tier 2 European team worth paying attention to.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, yes there were lots of mistakes from both sides, but both sides never gave up so probably a fair result

Just watching the Georgia v Portugal game, I’m sure I just heard the female commentator say “one shot, one kill, one hell of a party” after a try….. What the fuck is that all about

Pool C has to be the most even 5-team pool in RWC history.

Even with a fantasy bank line. Not sure what fantasies the commentator has.

Did Smith goose step or did Farrells pass make him stop?

Chile look a lot more practised at using the ball than we do.

Witth England it's either forwards OR it's backs. We've not really caught up with the 15 man game concept.
