Kolisi was stupid. He knows no-one can kick and Irish lineout was asleep, yet kept taking shots at goal. That’s Wednesday tactics with no Plan B on Saturday.

You simply can't leave 8 easy kicking points, another 6 long range ones and botch a try scoring opportunity on the field in a tight game.

Thought those decisions came from Rassie via the traffic lights
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Good match, but my nerves are fucked
Pretty dodgy calls all game but hey if it pisses Rassie off great.
SA lost because of no kicker.

Wales won like 4 grand slams playing the bosh power game, on display tonight, and Irish, English and Scottish fans used to call it boring predictable, and Wales were always lucky if it was successfully... and anyone who lost against it, apparently was shit...
So Ireland are boring and South Africa are shit.

We will get France. Ireland the All Blacks.troglodiet wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:59 pm Well played Ireland, deserved winners.
So from here on we're going to watch the rest of the tournament just to see who is going to the fourth team for the quarters....
1, 2 and three will be the Boks, Ireland and France. Just going to decide the sequence.
(Unless the permutations screw things up).

Sorry, I get my otters mixed up.
This may sound arrogant but I get the nagging feeling Rassie through this game. Not actual throwing, but by team selection and tactic. Why not take easy kicks, but try 55m bombs, using your midget? Think about it, take loss now or later?
That’s what made it really annoying

Ireland the better team today... they were looking well out of it in the first 30, under serious pressure. They got it together, turned it around and then their pressure started causing mistakes from the Boks who eventually couldn't deal with it.
Both teams will improve but the ball is firmly in Ireland's court.
Here they come

Jesus boet, please don’t be “that” Saffer stereotype.
I've not got the concept of a Yorkshire ball in my head.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:24 pm
Bin screwed us a bit early on but then we got some calls I wouldn't complain about. The one at the end was just piss bad luck for the Saffers. He had called it and then the ball was theee. It was millisecond stuff

You deserve the win. Pretty sure the Boks will learn a lot from tonight.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:24 pm

The Scots obviously hope to still have a sniff but I got a better chance getting pragnent.
I don't understand why they yanked Kolisi so early. The Boks are so much better with him on the field.
It was a strange team selection. One designed to utilize the 7 to 1 split. That was pure arrogance. Like doing the throat slit hska. He wanted to win and punish Ireland. It backfired. This reminded me of the RC match we lost against NZ. Same backline, more forwards. We lost that too.
Listen. I prefer France in the quarters. Been saying for ages

Sadly the Bok coaches will go back now to the old truste stock like Willie, Mapimpi and Pollard and boring rugby.

Great game, ireland played clever and self confident, only struggled a bit in the lineouts and scrums. But overall a strong performance and deserved win.
Boks unable to convert posession into points. DDA is strong on attack and defence but zero creativity coming from the midfield. Libbok, as much as he brings some flair, can not be maintained come the knockouts, we need those points he left out. Pollard will come in. Marx gone showing to be a real concern, lineout and especially scrum advantage was gone with fourie on. And no way to fix that for the boks quickly.

You are joking right. Tonight's backline bar Jesse was kak. Couldn't create anything. You forgot to include Moodie and Esterhuizen......OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:33 pm Sadly the Bok coaches will go back now to the old truste stock like Willie, Mapimpi and Pollard and boring rugby.
