They care not a jot.

Great win by the Pumas. At least 1 SH team in the semi finals.

I am a happy person right now.
May the second game tonight see another SH to through.
3 out of 4 SH teams in the semis will be great.
Pity our Aussie brothers couldn't help us make it 4 out of 4.

Missing Refry with his usual "fuck the neutrals" though, which was a bit disappointing
Left hand down a bit
Best team won. But tbh I have never seen a head shot like that not penalised internationally
It's a new one on me. Has a TMO for a head shot been ignored before today at this RWC?
Wales and Argentina were very poor today and it was terrible rugby.

Which England? Cause the side Borthwick selected for tomorrow is definitely worse.

Whoever wrote this, really knows his shit...Line6 HXFX wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:37 pm Five areas... when you know Wales are shit they lose.
Areas that always let us down.
Areas where if we were just normal at them, bog standard, or could defend it..we would be about 30% better.
But we never can.
1) Accepting the restart. We fuck this up, against proper teams we lose. End of. If we are 10 minutes into the game and we are dropping restarts, just save yourself the misery and go watch Emerdale. It will be an all game long thing.
2) rushing passes, passes not going to hand or over running the distributer...if we start doing this, its no Bueno.
3) winning own lineouts in the oppositions 22. When we can't do this, it's just fucked.
4) the ref not spotting the opposition backrow trying to swing around the scrum. The opposition start getting away with this and it always ends badly for us.
5) just the opposition finding their shit by kicking for territory in the second half...off 12 or 13. Centres that can kick just, do us. We have never been able to cope with teams that can use this.
There you go. Areas our professional rugby players, who are paid to do this game btw, paid to train at it...can't seem to get around perfecting.
Congrats Argentina. Love the festival of joy amd atmosphere your supporters bring.

The only side I’ve seen worse than this England side were Sorries last night.petej wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:12 pmWhich England? Two average teams who did what they had to do to get to the QFs but Argentina won't worry the winners of tonight's game.

I think he would have been in touch with a slide. But hey inches away.
2 poor teams tbh. I am now Irish for the next 2 weeks.

I forgot Fiji is playing England.
So 4 out of 4 it is then.

They missed Anscombe more. Costello is shit. Bigger would have been replaced much earlier if Anscombe was fit.petej wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:17 pm Wales missed Faletau even though i rate the other players in that backrow. Kind of an underappreciated rock or glue in the wales team.
But yes Faletau may hàve given Wales much more balance.
Tha said Argentina deserved a win

Just seen the result. Well done, argies!!!
It was reviewed by the TMO and was deemed (rightly in my view) to be a rugby incident.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:04 pm Best team won. But tbh I have never seen a head shot like that not penalised internationally

Argentinian went in at the right height, so perfectly legally, then Tompins height dropped suddenly, no opportunity for the Argentiian player to readjust.
I am not too sure it was the right call it was certainly dangerous.ASMO wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:25 pmIt was reviewed by the TMO and was deemed (rightly in my view) to be a rugby incident.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:04 pm Best team won. But has a head shot been reversed?
Never seen such a incident not being penalised.
Costello is a decent talent but too early for him. Anscombe was missed he has always played flatter than Biggar and is a better attacking 10.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:23 pmThey missed Anscombe more. Costello is shit. I know what you mean but I haven't seen one where the player has put himself in a position for a legal entry and the other players height has dropped so quickly.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:30 pmI am not too sure it was the right call it was certainly dangerous.ASMO wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:25 pmIt was reviewed by the TMO and was deemed (rightly in my view) to be a rugby incident.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:04 pm Best team won. The best result for rugby, this was in danger of becoming known as The Welsh World Cup for all the wrong reasons.
Head shot was how it should be reffed, but I’d be a little annoyed as it hasn’t been until today. Still, I’ve often called Wales the chavs of world rugby and the really proved it in the 10 minutes after, if they had spent more time defending instead of moaning and jumping about they might have seen them off.
3 WC semi finals for Argentine, that’s quite a record for a country we still all slightly look down on in rugby terms

Because (whisper it) Louis Rees Zammit isn't as good as the Welsh hype him up to be.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

I kind of agree, he has some pace about him but I'd be very surprised if he is, as ITV claimed the other day, the quickest player at the World Cup.
His defence isn't the best.
Who has hyped him?
He is no Darcy Graham or Shane Williams.
The wanking over him today was pathetic
To be fair I think it is more the ITV/TNT premiership TV comms and presenters that talk him up.Biffer wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:44 pmBecause (whisper it) Louis Rees Zammit isn't as good as the Welsh hype him up to be.

Can't blame people for trying to find some star dust to talk up in that side. Same goes for Jac Morgan being talked up as player of the tournament, he was massively outplayed today and Argentina were a big step up from anything Wales faced in the group stage.
Pleased for Argentina who really let themselves down against England and looked like they were going to crash out. Incredible support for them, and after that Adams cheap shot went almost unpunished I feared the worst, but they deservedly won it comfortably in the end.
Really entertaining game and Wales will take heart going into the 6N.

Well done Argentina, better team on the day.
I've watched a lot of rugby this year and have never seen a players head go back like after contact with a shoulder and that and not be penalised, the HIA after wards was necessary. It was such a pivotal moment.
Frustrating as I felt Wales never got out of 3rd gear but I'm pleased we got out of the group which didn't seem likely a few months ago.

It was contact with the head, with a shoulder and no arms, Tomkins head snapped back. How many tackles have we seen where the player has done nothing that wrong and still been pinged. Perfectly legal, right.ASMO wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:25 pmIt was reviewed by the TMO and was deemed (rightly in my view) to be a rugby incident.C69 wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:04 pm Best team won.
